Hotel itself is only about 700 meters from Masjidil Haram which is really not so bad. But the fact that its located on a hill means that its quite a climb. Though they provide shuttle buses, it's not to go up and down the hill and about 300ish meters from Masjidil Haram. For senior citizens or the disabled, this can be really tiring and tedious. But, there are 2 short cuts that you can take that can cut your journey. Instead of turning left and going downhill when you exit the hotel, turn right and and go straight towards the next hotel at the curb of the road and take the lift down or go a bit further and take the stairs.
Rooms are decent and comfortable. The 10 of us shared between us, 2, three person rooms and 2, two person rooms. The bathrooms are a bit snug but still comfortable and the water pressure is great. Room amenities are decent and the bed spreads are comfy.
Breakfast is very bread heavy and is more towards the middle east palate. But it's delicious and the main/ egg dishes changes everyday. Its filling and lasts me upwards of lunch.
Staff is not so friendly ( don't expect beaming smiles) but they do they work. I guess that's just how they are. So, its no surprise.
WiFi signal is pretty decent and gets better and the lower levels.
There's also a laundry and convenience store near by ( 1 min walk )
(Do note that I'm reviewing this hotel in comparison to other hotels I've stayed in Mekah and not to hotels in other location)
