This restaurant is located in old part of city. It is small (with about 30 seats) but lovely. You can find movie artists there because there is near one of cinema foundations. The food is mixture of traditional and western. The walls are full of artists photos from ceiling to floor. It is recommended to visit.

I had happend to walk past this little restaurant just before christmas and had peeked to find a very hip place. I made it a point to go back after a few weeks to have lunch. Waited outside for about 20 minutes which was definitely well worth it. This is such an unusual restaurant for Tehran. It's actually a hip place with good food and good music. The service is efficient and fast and the folks working there actually seem to understand the concept of service. I had the lunch portion borscht which was delightful.

In the heart of Tehran in 30Tir avenue near Toopkhaane square there is Cafe-Restaurant which has provided a very different theme and environment distinct from urban spaces nearby.
All the walls are covered by famous artists and authors pictures and also most of the costumers are people who are interested in art and literature.
This cafe-restaurant serves both cafe stuff and restaurant foods. It is open for breakfast and lunch. If you want to visit Gole Rezaeeieh be there before 12 pm. Try special cotelette and Gole Rezaeeieh seasonal stews.

This is a popular establishment and it is very small:10 takes depending on how they are set. The walls are covered with photographs and posters that represent US and UK bands (Michael Jackson, Jimmy Hendricks..) but also Buddha, Breughel paintings, primitive Flemish....
The lights are kept very dim and red which gives an odd color to the food. Food was good, we had borsh, then the fish (trout) and some meatballs.
A ton of rice
Restrooms were awful, plan on not using them! Not only is it a "hole in the ground" type but all is wet around, no toilet paper, and the door is a "saloon" swinging door with a 1/2" gap between the panels. Now you know!
