Friencly, helpful staff. Breakfast is self-serve with one choice of food, coffee/tea, and juice. Very small room with comfortable bed, pillows, and duvet cover. Fast WiFi, two reading lights, and rainwater shower head with powerful, hot water. 20-minute walk to The Corniche. Rooftop pool is public so extremely crowded in the afternoons.
Breakfast doesn’t start until 8:00 am so if you scheduled a Nakhal Tour, you’ll miss out because pickup is usually 7:45 am. There are coffee shops nearby if you get up early and need beverages and/or food.
I arranged with the guesthouse for taxi pickup from airport, however it was expensive because immigration took one hour so I ended up paying 45,000 LPB ($30); suggest grabbing a taxi on your own for maximum 30,000 LBP ($20) and tell them Cavalier Hotel which is across the street from Hamra Urban Gardens.
Note: I used Careem app a few times for pick up from the guesthouse to wander the city then caught service taxis back. Similar to Lyft/Uber, Careem is common in the Middles East and you can pay cash to the driver. Fair prices, too, for example to airport was less than $14.More
