I had a fairly below average experience on my first visit to this hotel and was not keen to return. Due to circumstances (a bad planning day :) ) I ended up back there. I must say, I was pleasantly surprised. From check-in to checkout, including meals and drinks in the sports bar, this stay was excellent. It has a choice of bars & restaurants. I look forward to going back there.

This ex Ramada hotel sits on an outer circle road with no views, no ambience, no sense of being in Doha. Inside the rooms are average, clean, reasonably spacious, the service is fine and the breakfast very good. The hotel is in two blocks which both have much frequented bars. Regrettably they allow smoking everywhere and it is quite out of place to see drunken Europeans in an arab country. The bars cater to the (above all) english people working here and their philippine female friends. It is a somewhat sleezy atmosphere. Given all the beautiful hotels I saw in Doha I much regret having stayed here, but as a guest I had no choice. Not again.

This trip I stayed in the older wing, but was upgraded to a suite which was great. There is free, fast wireless internet, and an excellent service provided by the staff.

There is a great choice of bars and restaurants at this hotel, and the location on C-ring makes it a good location for buisness in Doha.

Room Tip: If you are in the rewards programme, free upgrades may be available depending on availability.

Stayed here for 2 days during a business trip. As most of the other 5-stars were fully booked due to the UN conference, stayed at the Radisson. The hotel building was taken over from Ramada. There was a security check every time you entered the hotel due to the conferences, which was a bit of an inconvenience. The room was good and spacious. However toiletries could include more of the basic necessities. Free Internet was a boon with decent speeds. Proximity to the airport is a plus along with the presence of shops and malls next door. Breakfast was standard western, though some more of the local cuisine would have been nice.

Typical Radisson with all the usual amenities. Away from streets, so rooms are quiet.

Location on C ring rd. is a bit inconvenient as it is too far away to walk into town. Also, there seem to only be a limited number of taxis cruising around in that area, so transport to the city can be a problem.

Free hourly airport shuttle.
