After visiting Toki 4 times in the last 12 months, and have ordered everything from sushi/sashimi, ramen, don and to cooked food, I will give it a combined rating of 3.8. Sashimi from the chef's menu (the sashimi specially flown in from Japan's Tsukiji market) - very good, very fresh, but expensive. Chirashi or sashimi from the regular menu - sashimi sliced like the those you'd get from the supermarket's take-out section. Sushi - OK but not that impressive. Ramen - taste good but the portion is too small. Don - taste good. Cooked food - very good. My conclusion is that they do most cooked food quite well but their sushi and sashimi are definitely not up to par, not because the fish is not fresh, but because they're not made and sliced like they should. I love Japanese food and will probably keep going back to Toki as it is hailed as the best Japanese restaurant in Abu Dhabi, but I will just stick to the hot cooked food.
