“Nice way to spend an hour or so”

Guyana Zoological Park

We were able to walk here from the Rainforest B&B and really enjoyed our visit. We saw Macaws, a jaguar, two cougars, monkeys, and a lake full of manatees! Inexpensive and fun!

I visited the zoo with my three grand children - they really enjoyed the visit. Yu can get fra, far closer to the animlas here than in most zoos in other countries. This also must be one of the cheapest zoos in the world to visit - very cheap afternoon out for the family

I read all the bad reviews of the zoo but I want to judge for my self. The zoo is under renovation and with a new change of government they are trying. Go with a open mind and prepared to learn something. Small quiet lovely place to visit and enjoy the animals

We didn't see any signs of animals in poor conditions. The enclosures are a bit small and run down, but they see to be clean and animals are cared for.

I'd be happy to spend a couple of hours there. The guard had a tabby kitten with him and she's well looked after, we spent ages playing with the kitten :).

For starters the zoo need some major TLC
Its dirty and smelling horrible. For the money they charge and the amount of people that take there kids there they can do alot better . We dont have alot of animals but that dont mean they can’t do maintenance to the place.
