Situated right on the beach, and adjacent to the pool at Le Meridien hotel, this Cafe/Restaurant provides a reasonable meal in a traditional thatched ' bure' style facility.
The menu is adequate without being memorable. From Burgers to Steak Tartare, or your choice of BBQ - there is something there for most tastes! Both entrees and main are generous serves indeed. The choice for desert is great and well suited to the hot and humid climate. Service is great so no argument there. Bi lingual too which is a great help. The wine list is almost predominately French so good luck. Beer is mostly local too which is fair enough I guess.
It is very popular with locals for a lazy lunch. Bookings are generally not needed with most walk ins accommodated. Dress is 'resort casual' meaning you can wear just about anything.
The restaurant has outstanding views along Anse Vata beach and into the bay. Beachside tables are absolutely adjacent to the sand - just one step off the floor and its sand between the toes.
The French influence is obvious with topless bathing being not uncommon on the beach in front of the tables, so if your offended then perhaps you should go elsewhere.
It's a good mid range Cafe/Restaurant providing a reasonable feed, good service and excellent atmosphere.
