Had a very pleasant stay over 3 nights at the Hotel Beaurivage. The location is fantastic right on the beach at Lemon Bay and plenty of restaurants and bars are within walking distance. The beach is great for swimming and snorkelling and is suitable for families with children. The rooms are fine and the views from the beachside rooms worth the slight increase in price. They are showing some wear and tear with scuff marks etc on the Lino floor, but it has all the basics that you need. No breakfast available, but the adjacent cafe offers it to hotel guests. To be honest I found the Babar cafe very average and I walked to the Casino Supermarket and the next door Boulangerie and picked up fresh croissants each morning at Port Plaisance. In addition the number 3 bus stops outside the door and is a convenient way to get to the city centre and Anse Vata. Just one thing to note that there is a nightclub nearby and if you have an oceanview room overlooking the street, you will hear some noise on Friday and Saturday nights. Also a shout out to the 2 gentlemen on reception who spoke good English and were very helpful and friendly. All in all a great lower cost option with a great location. Would definitely stay again if I return to Noumea.

We had planned to travel to Noumea in April 2020 but had to cancel due to the outbreak of coronavirus.
We had booked 10 nights accommodation at Hotel Beaurivage and paid XPF104,400 in advance. The hotel refused to refund our payment and offered a credit for 3 months. After I complained and asked for a refund again, the credit was extended to March 2021.
It remains impossible for us to travel and the future is still not certain.
The hotel have kept our money for 12 months now which is very unfair and an unacceptable business practice. I am sure that this is not the behaviour that French people would be proud of. We have attempted to sell / gift this credit to friends and family but nobody can travel.
We would like Hotel Beaurivage to act in a professional and honourable manner and process a full refund immediately.

Good clean hotel, great location on road overlooking beach. Reception friendly, helpful obviously French speaking, good English. Lift, in room WIFI, room serviced daily, usually after lunch (we were on 3rd floor). Room had a balcony overlooking the beach; recommended.No restaurant, breakfast, but shop, Patisserie, supermarket 5-10 minute walk , restaurants, cafes next door or 5 minutes other direction. Shuttles available from & to airport from reception, in house travel agency but much cheaper pre booking online. Recommended, would stay again.
