Stayed a week in Beachfront Fare - stunning location & we were very happy with our choice. Great size room. Initially given 2 saggy single mattresses pushed together but after mentioning to management a comfy king mattress arrived. Room was hot but we'd known there was no air cond when we booked (although this would have been welcome!). Wonderful to not have TV or internet in the room.
Resort was beautifully relaxing. It was off season so the beach was deserted and we often had pool to ourselves. There's a laid back pool side bar for coffee, drinks and snacks and they had some nice live music a couple of nights during the week. Staff are smiley, endlessly helpful and friendly. Food was very good - seafood is spectacular & vegies are organic and fresh. Breakfast is a buffet with fresh local fruits, pastries, toast & cereal.
Snorkelling was good at the beach out the front - need reef shoes to access at low tide. Watch the currents. Weather in March isn't ideal and visibilty wasn't great for much of the week but we were there to rest and wind down so were happy to be lazy. Waves weren't really big enough for surfing at this time of year although the local grommets put in an enthusiastic performance. Taxi into Port Vila is about $12 Australian or there are local buses.More
