This place was amazing. We stayed here for 7 nights and loved every minute of it. We had a one bedroom apartment overlooking the lagoon. The furniture is nicely kept, the bed was sooo comfortable and the outdoor plunge pool was perfect for an afternoon swim. The infinity pool is also lovely and was always the right temperature. Rooms were serviced everyday and there wasn't a single staff member who didn't greet us with a big friendly smile. We had a taxi driver take us almost everywhere from day one, and this didn't cost us a huge amount. Thanks so much for a lovely stay!

This is a wonderful property located on the hillside overlooking the lagoon.
I booked a one bedroom apartment with private plunge room for the week to celebrate our 26th wedding anniversary. The booking process was very easy with the wonderful staff very available and responsible to all of my questions.
On arrival a lovely bottle of bubbly awaited as in acknowledgment of our anniversary. The appartments are of a high standard. Entry and the ground floor in the kitchen/lounge/ dining and rest room area with a lovely courtyard and a very private plunge pool - which was wonderful!
Upstairs to an expansive bedroom, a lovely 9and very comfortable) king size bed, walk in robe and large bathroom with a wonderful 9and very large) strong bath. There is also a lovely balcony overlooking the hillside and lagoon.
There is some wear and tear (very little and expected) but the property is lovely and we will return when visiting Port Villa again - and we will highly recommend to our friends.

The service was excellent.
There is a tennis court, gym and a large infinity pool (which can be tricky to locate! Just ask).
There are a lot of stairs - but that’s what your get when your on the side of a hill!
Room service food was great and breakfast was lovely.
Overall, this is a lovely property.

One if the prevoius reviews (Nadia)pretty much says it all.
I would rate 3.5 out if 5. Its a good location with a very easy walk to and from the town. Local shops for chippies, bickies or mixers or if your usuing visa, debt card or eftposs go to the supermarket. Left out of the Terraces and walk all the way down the hill round the bend to the main road and you will see it. Au Bon Marché Numbatu is the supermarket and has it all.
For me to give this a 5 out if 5. (My opinion only). An air con unit downstairs would be great as you cant leave it on when your out so it takes forever to cool the large area down.
A TV upstairs in the bedroom would keep the wife happy, me i can do without tv. And as the Terraces are promoted as boutique some maintainance wouldnt go astray. Saying that, i am a contractor so all the painting touch up everywhere anoy me & the fillers not primed or touched up. I felt like offering to do the unit we were in as my wife was working on the computer booking peoples holidays and flights. The internet is not great for business usage.
Plung pool is great. Staff are great. Food is great at Mangos and the Holiday inn's food is great too.
All in all if you like the option to cook your self or go out then this could well be the place for you.

Check in:

There were nobody in reciption when we reach but there was a telephone with a note to call the staff or to go to Mangose reseption. We had cold welcoming juice by the time we finish our juice our check in was finished.

Location/ View:

The hotel is located on a small hill climbing a bit difficult especially with relatively hot and humid weather. Staff said its around 15 min walk from the city center but we never try walking because of the weather ( it was hot or raining ). The location gives amazing view of the lagon and give maximum privacy.

Appartment/ Amenities / Wifi:

The apartment was large and spacious consisting of two floors.

The first floor has a bathroom and a full kitchen, a large dining table ( for 6 or 8 people), a comfortable L shaped sofa and a wonderful balcony with a privet pool and 2 sunbath chairs.

The second floor has a bedroom with a comfortable bed, a large walk-in closet, a bathroom with a separate shower and a giant bathtub and another balcony.

The appartment had modern and beautiful decorations. It had all the amenities you may need.

The kitchen is equipped with all household utensils, an oven, a dishwasher, a microwave and a big refrigerator......

There was a split AC in the second floor and if you keep all doors close it realy cool the full appartment.

The pool was refreshing with an amazing view, there is a swimming pool down the hill but its far enough to get enough privacy.

The Wifi was free and very fast.

Bathroom/ cleanleness:

It was great to get 2 toilet one in each floor.

The house keeping was excellent and generaly the appartment was very clean but unfortunately there was an old stain in the sofa and in one toilet washbasin.

Food:

Our reservation was not including breakfast. We enjoyed preparing the breakfast in our kitchen.

The dining experience in the room was excellent, we order some lunch, dinner and one day a breakfast.

Halal meat was not available but there was so many vegetarian options. One day my husband orderd a shrimp dish which was served with white wine sauce ( we are non alchohlic ) the chef replaced the sauce with citrus sauce and it was very delicious.

All the food we had was excellent with reasonable price and the servece was excellent.

Staff:

All the staff were welcoming with a big smile which make you feel happay. Fabi helped as in reserving all activities in port vila and arrange the taxi for as.

The hotel is one of the best hotel I have ever been in and the the staff make you feel that you are welcome and you are at your home.

We stayed for a week over Christmas and were very impressed with the location, comfort and Mangos restaurant. Happy hour is one not to miss. The food was exceptional.
Service was excellent. An easy walk to town or pick up a local bus outside.
We watched the sunrise each morning and having our own pool was an added benefit.
Vanuatu is beautiful and so easy to get around. A memorable holiday for us.
