“Super Central”
Reviewed 19 December 2011

Stayed in December for week-long work trip. Chose hotel based on it's central location. It is literally across the street from City Hall Plaza, couldn't be any more central to places in Seoul, very close to the temples, almost atop the City Hall metro, very close to many shoppping areas, etc. Room was small but well set up, had free fast internet and OK cable TV. Overall, a very typical business hotel in East Asia, no problems at all but not anything special. At ~US$200 / night, not an especially good deal, but not bad for the area (the comparable Westin across the street was like $250).

Can be a little noisy when there are demonstrations at City Hall, but during the winter they have a skating rink set up, which limits the size that can gather there.

A good tip - hotel is on the tunnel system, so easy to get around without having to go out into the cold and rain.

This is a very nice hotel in a central location. Connected to underground mall, where you can walk to subway or various parts of downlotown without going outside (a big benefit in the winter). Service was excellent. I left some items in my room and the hotel called me after I checked out to notify me of this. Modern room with digital controls.

I had a standard room, which was tiny. The shower was glass and in the middle of the room, so would be awkward with more than one person. Also, the air condition was turned off. Yes, this is in the winter, but the rooms were still hot and it would have been nice to have a cool-down option.

Pros: Great location, good service, clean and modern, next to subway and underground walkway, gym is huge with great views of city.

Cons: Tiny room, air condition not functional in winter, awkward shower set-up in room.

Good location, nice modern renovation. It can get loud. We arrived on a demonstration event in city hall so there were many activists and police officers.

I stayed 6 nights. Took the breakfast package 3 days only. The other times ate at other places for much cheaper! There is Starbucks across the street from the secondary entrance to the hotel and another bakery in the basement just outside the hotel.

All in all good place to stay.

Convenient to go shopping and eat in myongdong area. Connected underground. If u take KAL bus to airport and buy the ticket at hotel, make sure that the hotel gives you the bus ticket instead of the invoice only. Had a small issue with KAL bus but got sorted out.

Room Tip: Rooms not facing city hall in case there are demonstrations as it can get loud.

A stylish business hotel. No family with children seem to stay in this hotel. Good service and polite staff. prompt check-in & out. Free WIFI and very high tech room with a central control unit. This hotel is facing Seoul Plaza which is an open field which may be quite noisy if there was an event. Not ideal for light sleeper. Excellent location with city hall subway station just underneath the hotel. It was just adjacent to Deoksungung Palace. There was a Seoul City Tour bus stop just outside the palace. It was definitely convenient for travelling to many attractions within walking distance and/or by bus or subway. Many relatively inexpensive eateries and restaurant around the hotel cost around KRW 20,000 - 30,000 a meal for a family of 2 adults and 2 children. Highly recommend Arirang, a Korean Restaurant opposite Westin Chosun Hotel which served Korean BBQ in traditional way. It was rather expensive but a worth a try. Recommended attractions around this hotel include Deoksugung Palace, Namdaemun Market, MyeongDong Shopping District (e.g. Lotte Dept. Store, Lotte Duty Free Shop, etc.).

Room Tip: The standard room is rather small for a family of 2 adult and 2 young children. It is advisable to b...
