out of town and small

2.0 of 5 bubblesReviewed 14 Aug 2012
stayed here during my time in seoul as i was on package tour from singaopore. The location of the hotel is out of town. I boarded a taxi from the hotel to Dongdaemun and the trip took 25 minutes. There is nothing much around the hotel and it can be pretty boring during the nights. There is a convenient store on basement one of the property. The restaurant for the breakfast is also located at level B1. The breakfast is not appealing to me as the variety is limited and eggs cold.

The corridor is basically, air-conless and thus very warm during the summer. Not very appealing as i see stains on the carpets often. There is a public area where there is free wifi.

The rooms are small though there is a small kitchen area within the room. The bathroom is very small too as everytime when i bathe, the toilet bowl area will get wet and therefore, have to remove the toilet paper before taking a bath. Extremely small TV and poor sound system.

it's pretty far from city but this place is clean and value for money. It's good for staying if you are are with tour. The view just outside the residence (after crossing the road bridge) is beautiful. it's like new york central park where people jogging and just relaxing around.

Join the tour to Seoul last May 2011, stayed in this hotel for 1st and last night. Pretty much far from town and those tourism attraction places but we follow tour, travel bus always there for us hence there is no problem for this. Nothing much to eat around here but there is a family mart store at the basement of the building and outside the hotel, a mobile van selling tako (tasted so so). Bed not really good to sleep. The rest was okay.

Was in Seoul during the G-20 Summit, hence my original stay in Uljiro Co-Op was not able to extended. Had to stay in this hotel instead. Well, this hotel is located way outside the city. Nothing much around, expect some apartments and offices. There are two sundry shops around the corner and the train station is a good 15 minutes walk to the entrance. Take note that the train station is located underground, hence there are tons of stairs to navigate to reach to the train (and vice versa!). Room seems smaller than Uljiro Co-Op but the kitchen utensil are equally old. TV is the old 14 inch CRT and there is no wifi connection. Upside, is that this hotel is cheaper than Uljiro and is located nearer to the Incheon Airport via the train. On the whole, if you have a choice, choose Uljiro Co-Op instead.

Shabby, smelly and badly in need of a refurb. Too far from tourist centre. Area very run down. Like the back streets of a city. Staff very little English. Lots of walking and stairs on the underground system. We felt like moles. When it rains here it never stops for days!
