It’s also called the Red Pyramid of Sneferu, it is the third biggest pyramid and considered the oldest true pyramid that is it has smooth sided slopes. One can enter inside the pyramids for free. The entry is half way up the pyramid about 125 steps up and ones you are inside you have to go down a passage for about 65 meters, one will need to bend themselves as the passage is really narrow also you will get the smell of ammonia acid ones you get to the end. There is nothing much to see inside besides empty chambers but it’s an experience to take. The site is hardly visited by tourists, we had the site to all to ourselves for 15 minutes. Total time spent here will be under one hr and the site can easily be combined with Saqqara & Giza to be visited on the same day

This is built by sneferu as the first successful smooth sided pyramid ever to be built from 2600 BC, search in the trio advisor for the red pyramid reviews as it is the same name and the most famous name of this pyramid.

You can't come to Egypt wanting to see monuments then miss the Giza plateau & pyramids. The scale is impressive and how they could've built it too.
I went before trip advisor started

You should visit this at least once in your life. It´s not cheap and the way down the pyramid is quite small and full of people.

This is the first pyramid you will see when you go to Dahshur, it is not as huge as Giza's one but still as impressive. They call it the RED pyramids due to the colour of stone that has been used to build it. Going up to the entrance is not the easiest but can be done then the joy of descending starts (you go around 70 metres to the chambers inside)
