Nothing better then staying in a giant tent in the middle of Masai Mara! The tents are very big and spacious. Beds have netting around them to keep the bugs out. This was a great place to stay while going on game drives in Masai Mara. The food was great and the staff was friendly. The only negative is that the power and hot water go off during the day. We also had some very loud people next to us which made the stay a little less enjoyable.

I only hope that over the coming few years the roads leading to the Masai Mara will be paved, because it is now a long jolting ride along dirt tracks to get to this lodge. But once you arrive the lodge is very welcoming and comfortable. The "rooms" are actually individual tented enclosures with canvas walls, but they have proper flooring and are very spacious. There aren't a lot of luxuries in the rooms--i.e., no TVs, telephones, or WiFi--but that's to be expected in a rustic setting like this. Electricity is turned off for some overnight hours, but you're not likely to be awake at that time after spending the day on game drives in the Masai Mara. There is WiFi in the reception area, though not terribly strong.

My one complaint is that the mattresses here are quite uncomfortable. I like a firm mattress, but this was like sleeping on a block of concrete. But you'll probably be tired enough to sleep anyway. I couldn't find an extra outlet to recharge my phone and camera, even though I was told at reception that there was an extra outlet somewhere, so I had to unplug one of the bedside lamps for this purpose; someone else in my tour group told me that they had done the same thing. The shower isn't very vigorous, but it is adequate, and there is sufficient hot water.

I found the food in the restaurant perfectly okay, though not anything special. But lunch the first day was very good.

Stayed here in early March for 2nights, and loved it. Definitely will recommend. Tented camp is just on the river. Specious tent with good size bathroom. View from Tents are amazing. Staff is very very friendly. Special mention of Barman Mr Dawa- he was fantastic, big smile and very welcoming. Food was excellent, not buffet. Its proper sit down meals with waiter service. Must walk on the Bridge and try to do game drive from both gates.

The camp was really nice. The back gate opens to the jungle from where all the major animals were very close, 10 min drive into the jungle. We didn't have to search for animals. They were very easily located from the back gate.

The hotel staff were really cooperative specially Mr. Chetan, the corporate training manager. He went extra length to serve us pure vegetarian home like food. He even guided us about the jungle and made our stay really comfortable.Would recommend the camp.
