I couldn't wait to return to Bush Camp (my favourite place in the Mara!) for New Year after a gap of 2 years. I was not disappointed, it was as magical as I remembered and if it is possible even a bit better!!
Emma and Darren are the perfect hosts, the camp runs with a calm efficiency that makes every moment there a total joy.
The food is delicious (the macadamia nut tart every bit as fabulous as ever) and the tents are pure luxury with so many lovely details.
If you are into photography you won't find better vehicles or guides (Nelson was a complete star). Wild dogs on NY day, it doesn't get much better than that....unless you throw in 2 month old leopard cubs....and wonderful Fig (leopard)....and Figlet.....and elephants against dramatic stormy skies ......oh yes and a coalition of 5 cheetahs!!!!!!!
New addition is the hot water bottle in the vehicle for those chilly morning drives. This was fab once I had reassured myself I had not sat on a bush baby!!!
I won't be leaving it so long before my next visit....see you all in November.More
