Description: In April 1962, as Mombasa was growing into one of East Africa's busiest ports, Dalip Singh Wilkhu had a vision. While working as a signal operator for East African Railways, he was inspired to feed arriving visitors while preparing packaged meals for those preparing to depart. Singh Restaurant was born. Since then, Singh Restaurant has fed generations of people from various walks of life... Providing lunches and dinners for entire groups of workers, for families, for individuals... And becoming one of the most popular tourist destinations in the region, and drawing visitors from nearby cities such as Nairobi and Dar es Salaam. Our success comes from high quality in all aspects of our business, from the food we serve, to our operational efficiency, to the atmosphere we provide our visitors from the moment they walk in, until the moment they depart. Our quality of food and quality of service has helped Singh Restaurant gain recognition as the most highly recommended Indian restaurant in Mombasa by sources including TripAdvisor and Lonely Planet.

We got there at 6.45 and drank juice at a restaurant next to it...The food was worth the wait... Delicious Garlic mushroom starter, dessert and scumptious main course.

The restaurant prides itself for home cooked meals and it doesn't disappoint. All the curries are well spiced and the rotis keep coming until you ask them to stop.I love the jeera prawns and could eat them everyday.Unfortunately closed on Mondays

Great Food, very authentic tasting, great service. Must visit if you are in Mombasa. But I was upset by the fact that their Credit Card Machine was not working that day & I ended up paying cash for 3 of us.
Ordered Butter Chicken, Prawn Curry & Butter Nans along with a Chilled Tusker Beer.

Visited Singh restaurant after such a long time. The first thing that I noticed was the decor..it was superb, very clean and with very effective air-conditioning. The food was excellent, with a choice of it being served as mild, medium or hot. Servings were large. There was a continuous flow of piping hot chapattis. Beers were served cold, the usual common spirits were available. The service was efficient and very friendly staff.
Definitely money worth and guaranteed visit.

A very homely atmosphere. The moment you enter, a nice smell in the restaurant makes you more hungry 😋.Tried the thali and jeera chicken. It is divine. They serve soda, beers and spirits as well. Service is also fast.
For starters masala papad or fish or chicken goes very well with a drink. And then the main coarse has a good variety of indian food. Punjabi food is incomplete without a lassi (personal recommendation). Kulfi for dessert is a very good option. Rest you can experience when you go there.
