Loved staying at this resort. We had our own private spa pool in the room, which was just what we needed after travelling all day. The spa resort with the different plunge pools was extra relaxing, loved the warm marble at the end. The Chinese restaurant on sight was divine. Also loved the grounds and gardens, very relaxing.

This is more than just a hotel. This is a huge complex boasting a busy conference centre with the breakfast buffet restaurant on the ground floor. Selection is okay.

There is a main restaurant for lunch and dinner next to the lobby of the main building with reasonable prices. Beware: Servings are huge e.g. dumplings comes with about 25pieces

It has hot spring baths at the entrance that's open to public and gets busy on the weekends. There are private spas for use and they offer full body massages at a reasonable price. In the same building is a hot pot restaurant upstairs with karaoke rooms for hire.

Just down from the main hotel building (that all tour groups stayed at) is a Garden Hotel building, each with their own receptions. There also appears to be villa type accommodation across from conference building.

Rooms are spacious and comfy with a huge kingsize bed and hot spring bath which you can fill once every 24hrs free of charge. Fill it while you go off to brekkie and then it's perfect to soak in!

There's a nice bar in the middle of the complex which is lit beautifully at night. It sells a range of beer from local to imports (includes Carona and Heinie) and a range of wine.

Grounds are simply stunning! It is away from town and there is a lot of construction going on as you lead into the hotel so it's peaceful and relaxing at the moment, in 5-10yrs time it'll be a part of busy Beijing.

Taxi: They can call a taxi to take you to downtown Beijing (cost us 120rmb yesterday to get to Silk Rd Market - 60min drive). Know that not all Beijing taxi drivers will know where this hotel is located so ask your driver if he can pick you up for return at a set time (tip well if he does). How to get a taxi when they don't speak English? Either ask your tour guide or download a translator app that works offline. Be smart. Life will be easier.

Good resort approx. 17km from Beijing International Airport. Rooms are having spa facilities. Restaurents are not that good. Even reception people can not speak english. There is a small utilities shop on the ground floor, which is good.

We were very comfortable in a spacious room with its own hot spring spa annex. The room was very clean and the fittings attractive and in good working order. This hotel was chosen by the tour company (Nexus) that we travelled with, so although it was 30 minutes from the airport and at least 60 minutes or more (depending on the traffic!) from the main attractions in the city, we were well looked after by Nexus and driven too and fro so it did not matter that there was nothing nearby in walking distance. It perhaps would be a problem if you were traveling independently. It did mean that it was not possible to go back to the hotel until all our sightseeing had finished for the day but given the traffic, perhaps this is not possible anyway? We mostly had dinner at restaurants while sightseeing, but there is at least one bistro that some of our tour party had dinner in one night which served western style food as well as Chinese cuisine and was found very acceptable. .
Although some reviewers have commented that they did not like having to walk the 5 minutes to the restaurant serving breakfast as this is a very large complex, we enjoyed it as the grounds are beautiful with meticulously manicured gardens providing serenity and delighting the eye at the start of each day. The breakfast was varied and catered for a range of tastes and we found it more than satisfactory. Sophisticated Coffee lovers will be disappointed though, as coffee is clearly not a favored drink in China, at least not in Beijing! Going to the Spa centre is an experience and most enjoyable after a long day of sightseeing- very soothing for the muscles.
Overall, we found this a most pleasant stay with very polite staff.

Very nice environment. Room is located in a different building with restaurant, walking distance to restaurant approx. 5 mins. The outdoor public hot spring is amazing, but remember to bring swimming cloth cause it is open for male and female. There is an indoor pool as well. No coffee and tea serving in the room, no kettle as well. There are 2 convenient shop in the hotel building, the services for the attendant is very poor. Not much choice there as well.

Room Tip: No wifi in the room, lobby wifi is very limited
