The food is always delicious, even on the second visit to this restaurant. But it is never busy when we are there, no matter what time we dine. Perhaps we are going in late, after the rush and that is why the restaurant is all but empty. There are also private dining rooms that perhaps were busier (we could hear other people behind the sliding wall). The decor is very tired, and looks like it needs a really good clean too. Service is at times great, then at other times not. But if you overlook those things and are determined to get delicious food, then this is a great place to try. The suckling pig is delicious, as is the eggplant and many other dishes.

I heard about this restaurant on Bizarre Foods, so I had to make time to dine here while I was in Hong Kong for a few days. Unfortunately we were unable to make a dinner, where the scene is supposed to be high-energy and fun.

We made it for a very late lunch just before the place was shutting down for the afternoon break.

We were still able to enjoy the crispy noodles with bean sprouts and the gold coin sandwiches. Both were worth the effort to find the place and I would highly recommend dining here if you are in the area.

Although we did not have the chance to dine in the restaurant, we had 1 whole suckling pig and half of a roast goose on take-away to bring back home to the Philippines. The pig and the goose was as good as it was freshly-cooked. The pig was so tender and the goose was really tasty. The staff was friendly and accommodating even when we arrived during their rest time (the restaurant was closed between 3pm-6pm). This was also despite the confusion the previous day when they actually prepared our order 1 day in advance--the concierge at our hotel said that the staff had to pay for the pig that we were not able to pick up! We actually saw the staff of the restaurant enjoying the left over pig from the previous day for lunch.

Overall, it was really the best pig and goose I have had in HK!

The food is good especially the suckling roast pig. Variety of seafood including flower crab in Chinese wine sauce and fried large prawns in soya sauce. Good service provided by the staff. Free dessert consist of sweet red bean soup.
