First off, it's a budget accommodation so anybody who expects any hotel service will be disappointed.

Let's start with:
1.) Location - The location is excellent! From HKIA, we took the Airport express, got on the free shuttle (shuttle K3) then got off at the Hyatt or you can even get off at the Holiday Inn and it's a 3min. walk to this. MTR station is quite near and you can even walk to the star ferry and even the china ferry terminal to go to Macau is quite near (15min. walk). The promenade, the malls, avenue of the stars are literally quite easy to go to by just walking.

2.) Accommodations - I rated the place Excellent for a budget accommodation. Clean rooms, clean sheets, clean bathroom and very trendy rooms! The beds are kind of small and was a bit firmer than i'm used to. The only gripe i had are the small pillows but I still slept very soundly at night. The only thing if i have to nit pick are the soundproofing of the rooms but luckily all guests during our stay Nov. 28-30 and Dec. 1-3 were very polity and were quiet except for the occasional shuffling out of the room and their doors closing.

Don't forget to check out the common rooms and the veranda. They have a sort of vendo by the elevator and you can get your drinks and around 9-10 different kinds of beers.

3.) Price:- Price point for this is great. Excellent value proposition. Trendy rooms, excellent price, and location. Can't beat the price for a great location.

Would not hesitate recommending this to friends who are looking for a great place to stay / sleep in HK without paying a lot and are not expecting a hotel experience.

In the expensive city of HK it is one of the best budget places to stay, although still pricey compared to the rest of Asia. The rooms are well designed like a luxury hotel and the staff is very, very helpfull (they even printed some of our documents that we needed for a visa). There is no laundry service, but there is a dry-cleaner next door. As the beds are fixed to the wall a twin can not be 'transformed' to a double. There is no restaurant, so no breakfast, but they do sell drinks. There are two locations, so double check the adress if you book! The one on Carnarvon street is said to be the best, and newest. Both are very well located in Kowloon area, 5 minutes walk to the famous (but not so special) laser show at 8PM every day.

We recently came back from staying at the Hop Inn Hong Kong on Carnarvon Road (November 2012), I was in a single room my friends in a double. When you first arrive its not obvious that you are at the right place, but don't worry as soon as you get into the lift you will see it clearly labelled Hop Inn. The accomodation was, although obviously budget, it was clean, safe and comfortable. The rooms are very small but that's part of the appeal. You have a bed and a shower/toilet but what else do you need. If it gets a little claustrophobic there is a open roof top veranda in which you can relax in. The Hop Inn is easy access to all of the tourist sites being right in the crazy/busy Kowloon area. If you want buget accomodation in the Centre of Hong Kong you'll be hard pushed to find anything better.

Got it All.
Location.........Easy walk to star ferry, MTR, Shops Etc.

Getting there......Get an Octopus card at airport and catch the A21 bus stop 13, follow the directions on the Hop Inn map. Easy.,

The Place........Clean and comfy, no hassle and great price for a city like this, I would always stop here. Highly recommend.

Bars................Loads of lively bars, showing premier football, music, great food. I went to Tequila Jacks, happy hour 3 till 9 pm. $35 pint of HK ale, good stuff, Fatts Place is lively and fun. Plenty of other bars open till 3 am. All within a stone throw from Hop Inn.

Restaurants....... Many !! I liked Ebanezas curry and kebab, across the road next to McDonald's, great curry and nan bread and cheap. Delaney's Irish bar served a great pint of Guinness $68 and yummy food. Tried a few Chinese places but it aint like western Chinese food, Its all gristle and bones here with loads of rice.

Shops.......Trillions of shops from bargain basement to designer label from all around the world. Temple street night market is 20 min walk or 2 stops on the mtr, Was interesting and fun shopping and people watching at one of the street food outlets.

Transport.......You must get an Octopus card, SO easy to travel around HK and shop without the hassle of looking for change and queuing up. MTR is the easiest in the world to navigate. Buses and trams are more fun though.

Must see's .........The Peak, get the 15 bus up from central exchange square bus terminal. Tram down, left side of tram best view, I was not impressed with the tram but the view at the Peak and the walk around Lugard rd (2 mile loop) is AWESOME. Cable car 360, views amazing on a clear day that is, book online ! Stanly bus trip, is nice go to upper deck right side there, left back.

Room Tip: Ask for another pillow. Window rooms are best. Ask for Carnavon Rd.

Great location 5min walk from tsim sha tsui. Staff at reception are very friendly and helpful. There are DVDs free for all to borrow and watch in your room. There is drinking water dispenser in the common area you can help yourself to. Room is incredibly small. There is the bed, the ensuite shower/toilet, a bed side stool, space for you to place a back pack, and enough space to open the door. The main photo provided for this accommodation on tripadvisor reflects this accurately. Still, a gd choice for those on budget. Clean, gd location, pleasant arty wall designs. Just remember this is more of a hostel (albeit one w incredibly tiny rooms), not a budget hotel and definitely not a hotel.
