“Two bars in one in Causeway Bay - great beer selection”

Inn Side Out and its sister bar, East End Brewery, share a joined common room, outdoor seating area, menu and staff. Basically its a single bar restaurant spread out over a terrace area known as Sunning Plaza, between Sunning Road and Caroline Hill Road off of Hysan Avenue. They are both part of the El Grande restaurant group and also share a common food menu and extensive beer list as other nice stops in Hong Kong such as Slims in the Starstreet precinct and the HK Brew House in Lan Kwai Fong.

I particularly like the good Belgium beer selection here, with three Leffe brands on offer, making this a nice place for a drink when spending time in the Causeway Bay area. Also, the outdoor seating area is extensive yet doesn't feel crowded. Unfortunately, food orders here have not been as enjoyed as with the other El Grande bars. A recent nacho with chili (HK$110) was barely average (rating 2.75 of 5), no where near as nice as a plate had earlier this month at Slims. But food is not the reason you come to Inn Side Out or East End Brewery, its the atmosphere and drinks, in which this place scores well (rating 4 of 5).

Overall, we like this combined bar, mainly for the beer selection (not the food) and like making stops here from time to time when shopping in Causeway Bay. Thus, if you are just wanting a nice bar break, this is a good spot to try and find if you are in the area.

Ah... The famous throw-your-peanut-shell on the floor bar, a large bar with lots of service and lots of drink choices. Definitely a popular hang out for locals and foreign friends alike, a nice place with nice atmosphere that is always buzzing.

Lots of beers to choose from which is not always the case in other bars.

Not the cheapest but its in Causeway Bay and very close to Time Square, so can't really complain.

Worth going for a beer or 2.

Just got back from INN Side out / Beer Gdn. feel sick started to eat their ISO Salad yukk!! its a ball of mayo! I had a nibble and tried to return it as it was no salad I had ever tried, ever. The staff informed me that I would still have to pay for it. I thought they were kidding....until I got the bill! $98 for a ball of mayo. I am going to sue them in Small Claims Tribunal.

This bar was recommended to us by our hotel. We stopped by before a dinner reservation and ordered drinks. When we questioned the quality of a mixed drink (which appeared to have no alcohol in it), we were immediately treated with disdain by the entire staff of bar girls. It became clear that they neither wanted nor needed our business.

The bar is located near Sunning Plaza on the open terrace (there are also tables inside, but I recommend them less) away from busy street. Opened till 1:30 AM. It`s busy at every evening, so you can wait for a couple of minutes to be seated, but there`re no opportunities for reservations.

It`s famous of its peanuts served on each table for free and that fact that you can throw down shells on the floor whereever you are, so just before they close the bar`s floor looks like a carpet of peanuts` shells.

It`s a good choice to have some beer and dinner as well. The atmosphere is a little bit crowdy, but it`s usual for every bar in HK.
