We spent 5 days in Hong Kong at the Harbour Grand. It was a beautiful room with a spectacular view of the Harbour. Everything about this hotel was luxurious. I would highly recommend it to anyone wanting 5 star accommodations in Hong Kong.

A decent modern hotel which does offer great views toward the island, particularly from the rooftop pool area.

We had a harbour view room, spacious enough with a good bathroom, decent shower etc.

Breakfast buffet was the usual, bit hit and miss but a great choice of anything you fancy from around the world, brill waffles come to think of it.

There is not much to get excited about, felt more like somewhere to do business than leisure, that's not a criticism, just all a bit bland and 90s.

Happy to go back but the location didn't really work, felt out of the way. You couldn't stroll out and find anything nearby but it was handy for the Metro and cheap cabs were the order of the day.

Room Tip: Harbour view obviously

Lovely hotel well located , excellent breakfast , very busy hotel with lots of functions and weddings . Harbor view room was excellent and very well serviced . Very good spa we had great massages.. shuttle bus to Hong Kong is also handy . There is a very nice walk along the harbor. Only little niggle was that we had a few hours wait for our room due to our early arrival but we understood because of the sheer number of people checking out the morning we arrived . Friendly helpful staff Would definitely recommend and will be back .

Stayed here in mid March for 5 nights. We had booked club rooms. On arrival we were upgraded to a suite which was in fact a huge one bedroom apartment. Theremwas ongoing work to the foyer improving the staircase etc but none of this was visible, or inconvenient at all. The room was fantastic overlooking the harbour with Panaramic windows. The hotel staff are great, as most are in these hotels. The club was well worth the extra money as you could go anytime of the day for a drink or snack whenever you were in the hotel. Breakfast was quieter and laid back in the club lounge, as was the seamless check in. The staff were marvellous in the club and always wanted to chat. The hotel is conveniently situated just 5 minutes walk from Whompoah MTR Station from where you could get any where really easily. The mtr is really modern and puts the London Underground to shame. I don’t think we waited more than 2 minutes for a train. Anyway this review is about the hotel. The main buffet restaurant was well stocked for breakfast when we did venture in the first morning after our arrival. Good food and self service. The evening meal is quite expensive by our standards at around £100 for 2 people with just a coke. It is expensive everywhere in Hong Kong for food. The quality was excellent. Didn’t use the other restaurants in the hotel bit the harbour bar was nice with live evening entertainment which was cool after a day out exploring, it is extreme.y safe around the hotel and nearby promenade, in fact it’s very safe everywhere. Even when we were lost on occasions people sensed it and stopped to ask if they could assist. Some reviews said the people wer unhelpful but we found them really wanting to assist us at all times. The distance from the airport is around 40 minutes and cost around £40 English pound 380 ish HK dollars. Taxis were also helpful and wouldn’t take tips from us. The hotel has a bus to the centre every 15 minutes up until 11pm which is really useful. No booking it you just hop on. The rooftop pool is great but as my head for heights isn’t marvellous we didn’t use it, looking was enough for me. The view is amazing from the roof. To summarise this hotel fully deserves to be number 1 it’s hard to imagine a better hotel there. You don’t need to dress for dinner either if you’ve arrived back hungry after a day touring. If you’re booking a hotel in Kowloon don’t bother looking for better as my choice will always be this special hotel. Very sad to leave we loved it so much. I could have happily lived in our room forever, gazing out at the cruise ships and Sampans on the harbour. Fantastic. 5 star plus everything

Room Tip: Club room, pay the extra, well worth it. Don’t even hesitate.

We stayed two nights and with all the remodeling under way, we found getting into the hotel a challenge. There was a narrow passage way from the parking lot into the hotel and with lots of people coming and going, it was difficult to negotiate. It was also noisy. The room was large and comfortable. Because we were late in arriving, the closest restaurant was attached to the hotel and expensive for a pizza and fish and chips. The breakfast was in a great location with the usual buffet of both Western and Asian foods. The hotel had a shuttle bus to the Peninsula Hotel, which saved another long walk. it is a nice walk, but twice in a day is too much. We were disappointed with the check out as they insisted, after saying no we had not used the room bar, and charged us, but did take it off. The use of WiFi was difficult to understand and they tried to double charge us when there should have been no charges. Especially with all the noisy construction, they should have been more gracious with these unused charges. In the end, they were taken off, but check your statement before you leave. There is also a shuttle bus running between hotels and the train station to the airport, which is very handy.
