We travelled as a family and we took 3 Nathan Rooms on the Nathan Floor. These rooms, though small, was comfortable and nicely renovated. Guests staying in rooms on the Nathan Floors were given access to the Nathan Lounge, which provided a nice and quiet place to surf the net (2 desktops were available), read magazines and newspapers, or to have a nice cuppa (tomato and grapefruit juice were available too).
Breakfast provided is decent, but there are few tables that can accomodate large groups. Then again, In terms of location, the hotel is located along Nathan Road but smack in between 2 MTR stations. Nonetheless, the short walk to the MTR and the ease of catching public buses outside the hotel make getting around convenient. In addition, there is a 7-11 and a famous cha chang teng (cafeteria) nearby. Temple Street is also just across the main thoroughfare, which also has quite a few eateries along the night market.
The staff here are friendly, and when requested, they will help you call for a taxi and tell the taxi driver where you are heading. In our case, they even helped us get 2 taxis, and negotiated a flat fare for our trip to the airport. The fare we payed was less than what we would have paid for if we had taken the Airport Express (bus-train to the airport).
Overall, we enjoyed our stay at Nathan Hotel.More
