Not far from Prambanan, but we were the only visitors on a Saturday when Prambanan was packed. Just spectacular, even if smaller. Two nicely restored large temples with nearly 250 smaller ones surrounding the site. Peaceful setting that you can enjoy while taking some beautiful photos. Don't miss it.

Interesting stop on the way back, worth the 15mn detour to get there. And it is quite quick too, so no need to take a guide or stay long if you are tired (it usually comes at the end of the day...)

This temple also still nice to visit, almost same like Prambanan but I think more quiet, not lots of seller, so u can visit slowly temple by temple.

I have said this about Prambanan also. If you have seen great temples around Asia, this isn't going to cut much ice. But at the same time its quite spiritual and very old. It is also largely wrecked by earthquakes.

So if you visit Prambanan, then its worth at least a drive past (its very close) and by all means if you have the time, pay the small entrance fee to see it up close.
