A very nice hotel with a swimming pool (useful also for refreshing the hot and humid nights) at a very low price. The position is also good if you want to visit the city and if you need to take a train. The staff is very kind and is able to help you in organizing any kind of visits. The common area is also good to socialize with other tourists. The breakfast is very good, rooms are basic but comfortable and clean.

It was a bit quiet as Monday evenings tend to be, and we were there for dinner. There is alfresco seating, but we sat inside.
We had veg curry, mushroom soup, sirloin steak, nasi goreng and another dish, for which we paid Indonesian Rupiah 205,000. Not bad value for money at all.
All food was good, although nothing outstanding.
Since our hotel was a 2-minute walk and we were so tired, it was the right choice.

The food is okay, but nothing special. Came for the rendang, but it wasn't available even though we were one of the first in the restaurant.

Don't go out of your way to eat here, Yogyakarta has far better places for dinner.

We had a great stay at Bladok. The rooms are spacious and clean with good airco. Bathroom is simple but good enough. The swimming pool is great for escaping the heat of the city. Staff is very friendly (especially Heru) and helped us out during medical problems (Dengue) and hospital visits.
