If you like your privacy, don't get a room at this hotel. As you can see in one of my pictures, from the outside people have a perfect view of the inside of your room. The window blinds provide no coverage. I wouldn't have been so inspired to write my review had I not woken up in the middle of the night to bites all over my body! When my girlfriend and I first entered the room, we thought it was peculiar that the room smelled like Bygone (the insect spray). Makes sense since it seems the room has some hidden bed bugs or mosquitos in it. The room itself feels like you stepped into something from 40 years ago, with old bed covers and filthy floors. The bathroom was absolutely disgusting (as you can see by the picture I uploaded of their shower head). The refrigerator was rusted with holes in it. The ceiling was being held together with pieces of tape. And there were protruding pipes and random holes in the wall. This place is in dire need of renovation and should not be accepting new guests until done so. I would not wish upon anyone the unfortunate experience I had at this hotel!

Room Tip: do not get any rooms here, they are all old and in dire need of renovation

Stayed over Christmas with 4 friends and a 2 year old, Acommodation really varies in the hotel and I think your experience really depends on the room you have. Our room was the most basic in the price range and had a damp smell and no balcony area or windows which didn't face the public walkway, which meant it was dark - this didn't matter as we literally used the room for sleeping. Our friends with a toddler had a one bed place which was better and they actually ended up getting moved to a sea view room half way through their stay which was really lovely with a huge balcony area. If you're going to stay here then 100% pay more and get a 1 bed rather than a studio type room and try to get one at the front facing the beach! Free breakfast was decent enough and the pool/bar area is nice. Staff are really friendly and do make an effort with you. Bar closes at 10pm but they're happy to let you stay round the pool area and drink your own drinks after this time and provided us with ice and glasses for this. We'd definitely stay again if we could get one of the nicer one bed rooms.

Room Tip: Room 21 is lovely and big with a balcony that faces the beach. Avoid 24 if possible as it had a bit...

The pool is great! That is really where the praise stops as the rest of the place is a bit of a let-down really. The signs of wear and tear are obvious and the condition of the room I had was relatively poor, considering that the price of the stay for our group of cyclists was not cheap. I had a twin-share room and when our group arrived it was not yet ready and all that they did was convert a daybed into another single bed in the room. The bathroom was very tired and the area outside our room looked dirty and unmaintained with many things rusting away, including the security door. Behind the pool there is an abandoned outdoor shower room that is now used for storing pool equipment. It just seems such a shame that a place right on the beach, which could be truly wonderful, is just left to deteriorate like this, probably due to lack of money being thrown at it. Disappointing in many ways but made up for by its location, nice staff and quite good food.

We had great plans for our holiday accommodation and what was advertised was not what we got. Unit 31 ( Premium one bedroom beachfront) had a toilet that did not flush and when we told the management they said they would look for some parts in the morning and try and fix it! Even though we put up with that excuse the problem was not attended to... I am amazed that they would expect anyone to stay there with a toilet that did not flush. There was no air conditioning in the lounge area so you were confined to the bedroom. The furniture and blinds are torn, broken, damaged, bathroom is stained and a mess, television is from the early 70's, overall the unit is in a shocking state. I have photos of all this and am happy to share. I realize that these rooms are privately owned but like I explained to the management it is their hotel's name and reputation that is being damaged if they don't hold the owner accountable for fixing these problems. The staff are lovely but what is the point if your accommodation that you are paying US$105 per night for is a nightmare. Needless to say we checked out the next day and managed to find a beautiful hotel two doors up.

Room Tip: Do not choose one bedroom unit number 31
