We have visited Flowhouse in bangkok many times and love it. This one however was very powerful, not sure why, and when you came off slammed you into the back wall. Maybe they need to turn the pressure down a notch.
Also no one there. Good on one hand, no waiting, but lacking atmosphere.
Give it a go if you can't get to bangkok.
So the machines are unstable. Barrel Ride was down all the 4 times I visited.
Lightening Storms scuppered the Boxing day outing with my son. All you get is a voucher for another day and 3 hours of your life wasted. With miserable support staff who have no idea what is going on... and if the ride is going to work - or be cancelled.. again! due to thunder.
Misery!
Then 3 days later... on my 51st birthday..with 12 year old son.... .opportunistically turned up. The machine worked! Crowds were manageable and friendly... ping! after 2 years of trying... over 4-5 sessions.. I finally manage to surf with panache and style.... woo!
Secret is to practice wake-skating in East Cost 360 waterski park for 2 years.... then try Wavehouse!
Awesome... when it finally comes together... but high chance (50%) of a completely miserable pathetic write-off of a family day.
I totally loved the hour ($35) experience learning how to ride the wave machine. The instructors were great to patiently teach the proper technique to get the most out of it. Tons of fun!
Reading some of the previous reviews prepared me for the average customer service I, and you, will no doubt receive.
They basically have a bunch of teenagers, early twenties running the place. The staff behind the ticket desk were exceptionally average.
We booked an hour and things turned around sharply from there. The big wave was out of operation, so we only had the small wave to ride, but wow was it fun. It takes a little time to get adjusted but in the second half of the hour you can really get your groove and start getting the finer details down. The instruction on the wave by the staff was enormously helpful.
Once you become competent, this is definitely worth the admission and was the most fun activity we did in all of Singapore.
This is definitely something to try.
The kids had a great time, we booked an hour session.
The staff are extremely friendly and helpful.
The guy makes sure all the kids have a good go, his instruction was excellent so at the end of the hour everyone could stand up and surf on their own.
went there with my family, our daughters loved it. we had a diffilcult time to leave as it was so much fun for the girls, learning how to surf the wave.
my wife and i enjoyed a cold beverage and some snacks.
