The hotel is set in a beautiful location with staff that are keen to provide support when there are problems. While this is the case there were too many things that went wrong over a one night stay, namely

1: the rollercoaster was very loud until well into the evening, taking away some peace and romance
2: the room was dirty poorly maintained (the toilet roll holder fell of when I touched it)
3: we order breakfast in bed which came much later after we ordered it. The order was completely wrong and as corrected over an hour and the correct order was brought up peace meal. The room service staff blamed th chef for the error, and said it was not their fault.
4:I booked dinner three weeks in advance. When I called up to confirm the booking I was told it had been cancelled, but they forgot to call me. The staff promised to call me back, but forgot to.

I'm sure this is a lovely hotel but there were just too many issues.

Dear Sammy,

Thank you for your review.

We hear you on the noise coming from the theme park and will certainly forward this to Sentosa Development Corporation for their follow up.

It is disappointing to learn of the shortfalls of the room expectations, specifically on the toilet roll holder and of the less than satisfactory experience you encountered with our F&B services.

Your experience is certainly not indicative of the standards one would expect of Amara Sanctuary Resort. We acknowledge that we can certainly do better and the relevant departments have been directed to tighten their processes to address such shortfalls.

We appreciate your time to share this review with us and are grateful for your support.

Yours sincerely,
Amara Sanctuary Team

We spent 4 nights at Amara. I travel a bit with work and must say I am quite impressed. Our room was spacious, clean, king bed, big bathroom, excellent toiletries, ocean views and free wifi. There is a choice if swimming pools including a great area for kids our favourite was the rooftop infinity pool. There is a choice of bars. The staff were all very friendly and a true asset to the hotel. The grounds are extremely well kept also. Amara has given us a terrific start to our holiday and our time in Sentosa.
Amara Sanctuary is situated a short walk from the Sentosa Express (monorail) Inbah Station, Amara run a free bus service and there is also a bus stop almost at the front gate so transport should not be an issue. All of the Sentosa attractions are not far from the Resort. Tip: If you haven't pre organised transport and are using the public transport system catch the MIT to Harbour Station then the Sentosa Express to Beach Station and get on bus 2. This will eventually drop you at a stop outside the hotel.

We just had our ROM and a simple dinner buffet reception at the glass pavilion and Shutters restaurant in Feb 2017. We had a wonderful experience at both venues which was properly done up, the staff was very helpful overall. We had a small incident where one of our own deco was spoiled and the crew offered to lend us something similar which the hotel had which was a nice touch.

There was some mixup close to the start of the buffet but it was sorted out quickly. Can be a good review for the hotel in future. The food at the dinner buffet was fantastic which all the guests commended.

The room we stayed in is clean as always and the hotel staff was very fast in solving a situation when we smell something funny in along the corridor, which happens to be another inconsiderate guest smoking in the room.

Room tip: The rooms on 3rd and 4th floor offers a view of the sea if you request for a sea view room.

Arrived after a holiday in New Zealand and it was a great place to stay before returning to England. The room was very comfortable except for the strange frosted glass door to the bathroom which meant that when it was used during the night the room was flooded with light if you turn the light on. Breakfasts were very good. Staff were friendly and helpful. One problem is the cost of drinks which seemed to frighten guests off. On the first night only 6 guests and the following four. When will they learn that if drink prices are reasonable more guests are likely to stay.

What more can you want : spacious clean room, king bed, big bathroom, excellent toiletries, ocean views, free wifi, swimming pool, choice of bars, terrific selection at breakfast both Western and Asian. On top of all this great staff. We arrived early for check in and wanted to leave our bags after our long night flight. The duty manager so kindly offered us our room right then and there. Amara has given us a terrific start to our holiday.
