My friends and I stayed here for 1 night during a recent trip whereby we had to catch an early morning connecting flight on Singapore Airlines to the Maldives. We flew from Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, to Changi Airport on a late evening flight the day before flying to the Maldives. We had booked 2 rooms via Agoda.com and the check-in was quick and easy.
This hotel is connected to Terminal 3 of Changi Airport, perfect for anyone who is catching a Singapore Airlines flight because the carrier mainly uses Terminal 3 especially for its long-haul flights. Even if your flight is flying out of the other terminals, you can easily get to the other terminals from this hotel via shuttle buses. From this hotel, you can also walk to the Jewel at Changi, which is the commercial complex featuring the largest indoor rain vortex waterfall in the world. The Jewel has many restaurants and retail outlets as well as interactive entertainment facilities. However, all the shops and the waterfall are shut down at 10pm everyday, so please take note of this! You can also use public transport to visit the rest of Singapore from this hotel, connectivity is not a problem. There is a food-court in the basement level of Terminal 3, where you can get reasonably-priced local food for breakfast, lunch and dinner, but they are shut after 10pm as well, as I discovered.
The rooms are clean and well-appointed, with complimentary toothbrush and toothpaste and essential toiletries, which is ideal for travelers who checked in their personal toiletries straight through to their next destination and had no toothbrush and toothpaste for the night(like myself!). They also provide 4 small bottles of complimentary drinking water in each room. We requested for a wake-up call to make sure that we didn't miss our flight, and discovered that this hotel provides 2 wake-up calls; the first is an automated call, followed by a second call made by a hotel staff 3 minutes after the first call! This is excellent because sometimes I would drift back to sleep after receiving the first wake-up call.
There is a swimming pool and gym for in-house guests in this hotel, but my friends and i didn't have time to use these facilities due to our limited time here.
Overall, we were very pleased with our stay here, and would consider staying here again if we have a tight connecting flight out of Changi Airport. The only thing that we weren't impressed about was the room rates here, this is probably the most expensive airport transit hotel that we have ever stayed at, anywhere in the world.
