After a few instances of very bad publicity they have tried to clean up their act a bit and while it's not as bad as before I would not really visit here unless you really need to come to a specific place. If you looking for computer stuff better to go to one of the reputable chains.
This is full of gadgets and electrical goods. We brought a couple of good things like phone cases and power packs and cables, but check and double check the quality as some stuff broke while we were testing.
I wouldn't say it was really cheap compared to the UK, but still enjoyed looking around.
Basically a computer centre where one can buy it related stuff but just have to beware of some places as they would probably sell knockoff items as well.
You can really buy anything and everything here, or get it fixed if it's broken but be very careful!
- Avoid shopping on level 1 and 2 there are the traps for tourists.
- Also electronics is NOT particularly inexpensive in Singapore research the price of what you want to buy well!
- Do not let yourself be talked into buying something else than what you came for, you will probably regret buying substitute products sellers suggest.
- This is a place you can ask if they give you a special discount, worth a try.
- Finally: do visit at least 2-3 shops and research the price of what you want to buy. You can easily save or lose 20-40 SGD!
Paid another visit to this large electronics mall which seems to have almost a monopoly now that Funan is closed. There are multiple levels with all kinds of electronics goods, but prices aren't that cheap and you really need to be careful to know exactly what you want to buy and the correct pricing. It's actually considerably cheaper to buy outside of Singapore (Australia, in particular, is a lot cheaper).
A lot of shops selling the same stuff. Not particularly cheap when compared to online retailers back home.
