Hotel Nostalgia is a really comfortable hotel in a quiet residential neighborhood. Very good area to walk around in. It is a really good base as there is an MRT station (Havelock) just 5 mins away as well as bus stops nearby. The Tiong Bahru Market (Hawker style) is fantastic - didnt stay long enough to try all the good food.
The staff was friendly and happy to help. The room we got is compact bit everything we needed was there. Just a minor suggestion - having an ice maker (even a centrally located one) would be really appreciated. Otherwise all good . Did I mention that there are so many good places to eat in the area?!?

Loved our time here. Had everything you need for a comfortable stay. Friendly helpful staff. Easy location to 2 train stations and bus stops. Beautiful green avenues and surrounding heritage buildings. Right across the road from a great hawker market. Plenty of surrounding restaurants and cafes. Cute rooftop bar across the road. Gorgeous intimate hotel roof top pool with views of trees and city buildings. Would happily stay here again and recommend to people.

Situated just over the road from the spectacular Tiong Baru Food Centre, this is a friendly, clean hotel with the all-important aircon necessary in Singapore in August. They have a delightful little rooftop 'infinity' pool which is perfect for cooling off, and I don't think we ever saw anyone else using it. The interior room we booked was comfy, compact and well-appointed with vintage furniture, presumably inspired by the "Nostalgia" in the name.

As a base, it's perfect: Not only can you walk a couple of minutes to the local food court for a fabulous breakfast (and a cup of hot, sweet Kopi, the local wake-up juice), but it's close to a main bus route, and about 7 minutes walk from the local subway station. Public transit in Singapore is fast, cheap, and easy so if you're near to any bus stops, you can explore the whole region easily.

The staff at Nostalgia were warm and helpful, and everything was spotlessly clean. If we come back, and we certainly plan to do so, then Nostalgia will definitely be on the shortlist for places to stay.
