“Not worth the effort”
Reviewed 23 May 2011

Going by public transport (MRT & bus) is a bit of a slog and barely worth the effort MRT to Clementi then 184 bus. The cost of going by taxi wouuld really make it a waste of time and money. There is a B09 bus stop in Clementi Rd which is still along way from the museum. The nearest stop in Bukit Timah Rd is B06. The displays are only reasonable and have no feeling of connection to the situation. For students of WWII the Battle Box and/or Sentosa give a more interesting insight into the events of 1942

“WWII social history museum which offers compelling professionally presented displays”
Reviewed 10 April 2011

This is an interesting museum which presents social history of the period when Singapore was occupied during WWII.

Like other WWII museums in Singapore, it is professionally presented, and tells a compelling story.

Also, there is a theatrette, where they present an interesting historical film.

The location of the museum is a little out of the way- I suggest taking a cab.

A visit to the museum would take 1-2 hours.

The site of the museum is the disused Ford motor car assembly plant.

I recommend this is a museum for anyone interested in WWII.
