Fullerton Bay is a modern little cube of a hotel on the shore of Singapore's Marina Bay. It faces the flashy Sands, with its massive rooftop infinity edge pool, and Dubai-esque shopping mall below. (Fullerton Bay should not be mistaken for the Fullerton Hotel, about two blocks away, in a colonial-era and repurposed central post office).
Fullerton Bay Hotel has a great location. The views from its roof top pool are absolutely stunning- a modern and elegant urban landscape. There was a small but serviceable work out room on the roof. Rooms are small, European sized, as befits the tight little site on which it perches, but has high ceilings and beautiful tropical wood accents. There is an enormous event space built on a pier with an vast arched ceiling as you enter, and a smaller dining room with high ceilings that stretches along one side of the cube.
The service was attentive and unobtrusive. The dining room has one of the most impressive breakfast buffets we've ever seen- spanning European and Asian cultures.
The afternoon tea was also wonderful!
We found the concierge was really helpful in reservations and helping us explore some of Singapore's neighborhoods. Tiny flaws: irritating disco music at the rooftop pool (from the open air bar adjacent) and the ubiquitous Christmas music in the first floor public spaces. Christmas in Singapore??
Otherwise, a flawless four day stay. Fine hotel!More
