Description: At House on the Moon, we want to show that dessert is not necessarily the last course of a meal. We aspire to demonstrate that a multi-courses meal can be curated using ingredients and techniques often associated only with desserts. Our creations are not confined to notions of “sweet” or “savoury”, “warm” or “cold” dishes; but rather to engage the full palate of tastes and a sensorial dining experience. We are offering two “Haute.Dessert.Dining” sets – The Eclipse, comprising of 5 courses, and the Full Moon, comprising of 7 courses – featuring House On The Moon’s conceptual creations that promise to delight and surprise.

Just had an interesting dinner here, where Chef Huseyin Turan’s concept on dessert dining results in the sweet elements of desserts being introduced as part of savory courses way earlier in your dining experience.

The appetizer was a charcoal pastry filled with avocado cream, as well as their version of a buckwheat filled tuna cerviche kwei pie tee - both delightful. The second course featured a red shiso sorbet with pickled sea lettuce and a scallop.

The umami booster was a tea brewed from mushrooms served with ginger n sesame oil - a very comforting drink filled with flavour.

The mains of beef cheeks were okay, though the texture was a tad mushy. But it went well with semolina dumplings mole and cherries.

Dessert was a deconstructed Moonwalk of yogurt, nutbutter and coconut with coconut cream tea, as well as Brick In The Wall, a Lego brick of infused custard with beetroot, which provided a tasty and earthy contrast to the sweetness of raspberry. It was served a chai Masala.

His team works like a well oiled machine, creating delightful and beautiful plates of food - utilizing advanced techniques - that are well balanced and are a feast for the eyes and stomach.

The eatery is a hidden gem off the hidden path, being inside a mall filled with gamer’s hangouts, a karoake joint, a Korean supermarket and shops targeted at the student and younger crowd.

Do come by and give them a try.

Having a house on the moon is as odd a concept as offering fine dining fare in a gamers’ mall. Square that off and you’ll be discover a technically sound repertoire with some of most splendid plating you’ll ever see. The entire design and construct is ingenious - the open kitchen concept with no glass door to demarcate mall from restaurant is strange but interesting. The equipment is also built for the curved kitchen concept - there is a sous chef who does the hot preps. 3-4 platers, all part of the assembly team - at the front who pull out curious containers and organisers of sorts with technically-difficult prepped pieces that would form the beautiful ensemble you see on your plate. It’s all flawlessly executed. None of the wipe-sweat-off-brow tensed kitchen scenes. It’s that well designed.

The concept of having desserts as part of your savoury courses - is brilliantly executed by chef Husyn who used to cut his teeth at the Michelin starred Juan Almador. Desserts are usually a savoury afterthought but now it is now weaved into the savoury narrative never quite the protagonist. The menu is kept trimmed so the entire woodworks are kept simple - another genius construct. Your tastebuds are so teased by elements that seem nothing like what they taste. There’s plenty of playful guessworks. This is one of the finest offerings - oddly - in a mall. All in all, the innovation is truly worthy of a visit. Even if it’s a gamer’s loft. #eatstylishtravelstylish

Best kept secret. Who could guess that you can find such a fine dining in this location. I came here based on my friend’s recommendation…otherwise i never know the existence of this place. Price is affordable, service is excellent, meals are delicious and well presented with amazing combinations. I think they need to advertise more so people are aware about this place! Highly recommended!

Was trying eclipse menu today but will come back to try other dishes.

I would highly recommend this place for dining and dessert, if you don't mind being in the centre of attraction of the whole mall. The chefs at work are disciples of pretty renown Chefs. The meal is a delight, with recommendations from the person preparing your food right before your eyes. We tried the beef cheek curry crab sauce cos it sounds pretty exotic and had the scallop with Laksa pasta. The pasta was really flavourful and the meat portion is generous. Though it doesn't look like much but after eating, it feels like just the right amount. The Chicken Anurri is a must order, so don't miss it. Can't leave this place without desserts and we ordered 2 different ones, both impressed. Topping off the meal with a glass of moscato, a truly satisfying meal. I would definitely say that this is one place I would like to come back to try the food again.
