The hotel is fairly new & clean. Conveniently located at the beginning of Beach Road, just a 5 minutes walk through Leang Seah Street to Bugis Junction. Bugis Junction offers cheap shopping, a food court with good variety & the MRT station.

Marrison Hotel is surrounded by steamboat and dessert restaurants. Breakfast is uninspired, offering rice rice, noodles, or sandwiches with free flow of coffee & tea. They alternate the menus.

Expect bus loads of Indonesian or Chinese tourist staying at this hotel.

Get the room with window & wifi if you are planning a stay more than 2 days. The rooms are small, similar to HongKong style hotel rooms. There is no space for large luggages. You may have to endure noise, as walls are relatively thin.

stayed for 3 nights here. was given a room with no window but that was not a problem for me. 5-7 minutes walking distance from the Bugis MRT Station. very near with Bugis Street where you can do your budget shopping.. 2 shopping malls within a walking distance.. a bit dissapointed with the breakfast.. but overall, im satisfied with this hotel.. great location n clean room (small-no place to put big size luggage)..

After 2.5 months travelling through Asia i found myself in singapore for 4 nights before heading to Melbourne. I stayed here for the second 2 nights having stayed at the more expensive aqueen lavender. The location is great, right next to Bugis station with loads of shopping malls and places to eat close by and its an easy (if not quite long) walk to the marina, china town and orchard street. The room as many other reviews suggest is really small but big enough for one person and ok for a couple of nights sharing as a couple. My main gripe was with the rather thin walls and groups of drunk girls i could here about 1am but maybe i was just unlucky.
The staff were friendly, the breakfast was pretty awful but all in all ok if youre not planning on spending all your time in the hotel.

Note that the location of this hotel on the Trip Advisor map is incorrect, it should be in Beach Road which is nowhere near where it is shown. Not sure how you can change this, hence I am posting this warning. But Beach Road is a much better location.

I stayed there with my girlfriend for two nights. The location of the hotel is excellent. But the rooms are just unacceptable. Our room had no window. We asked for another room but they told us that the "deluxe room" costs 35 $ more per night. The room was very small and it was hard to find any space for the suitcases. Also the bathroom was very small. Nevertheless we tried to make the best of it and thought that it was only for two nights. But in the evening when we wanted to go to sleep it started to be really hrible. It was impossible to get some sleep because it was very noisy. You could hear everything: the tv from the other rooms, the elevator, people walking around, people laughing, people coughing.... It felt like there were other people in our room having a conversation.
So if you are looking for a hotel in a good location, this might be the right one. But if you are looking for a comfortable and quiet place to stay you better don't check in at the Marrison Hotel....
