This was my 30th year of staying at this hotel, formerly the WESTIN STAMFORD. It was still good but I think they should warn people about the refurbishment going on. The worst thing is the noise the builders make while you are trying to have breakfast - deafening!
I was in a new room, which looked nice was practically was actually a bit of a disaster. No storage for clothes whatsoever, a table masking as a desk with no proper chair to sit at and not even a bath.
The staff were great but I was disappointed.

We do apologise that although we had indicated through all our hotel's various communications platforms on our guestrooms improvement programme, somehow it may not have been clear enough for your recent stay with us.

We were shown to our recently renovated room early following a long haul flight for which we were very appreciative. The excellent coffee served by lovely staff in the downstairs coffee shop was a gift. Enjoyed the pool & wellness spa. Staff were helpful and very hard working.

the hotel is very luxurious and has a unique building. you will see it from a distance. has an outdoor room and some fancy restaurants, such as equinox. yes, I'm very happy here. they have a large swimming pool and an exciting bar.

After many stays at the Swissotel Stamford I booked one of the upgraded rooms for my recent stay.

First impression was that the new rooms were fresh after a much needed update,

However, after a couple of days several flaws manifested.

In making the room "modern" they reduced the functionality significently. If you've stayed here before you would remember the old wooden desks by the balcony door that gave you a decent place to work as well as good access to power. However, by replacing the desk with a couch and casual desk you now need to drape power cables from the powerpoints on the wall to the desk cutting off one end of access to the desk.

In my corner room, it was impossible to watch the TV from anywhere in the room but laying on the bed.

Also, while the new bathrooms look good the plumbing is dubious. In my room the shower head leaked into the roof and you can tell by the damage it'd been that way for a while.

I was lucky enough though to have a decent view to Suntec and Marina Bay.

The renovations are a good start, but there's a lot of work that needs to be done to get the property back to 5-star.

We loved our stay here. The lovely staff will help you and look after you. Rooms are very well presented. The table with seating works well, the beds are very comfortable. We stayed in premium room which had lovely views over the harbor. Location is wonderful you walk out to Raffles City for eating and shopping should you want to. You can walk to some key points of interest too. All around a wonderful place to stay. We will definitely stay here again.
