We did a Viator tour which included a stop a Raffles Hotel. It is a must do if you are in Singapore, to visit the iconic hotel and sample a Singapore Sling.
The Hotel is just brilliant, very classy and a glimpse into how life must have been in years gone by.
We could not visit the Long Bar for our drinks as it was closed for renovations and will be so for minimum of another 12 months, instead we were in the Billiard room, still just as iconic. Peanuts available on all the tables and shells discarded on the floor....the Singapore Sling was not cheap, about S$30, but a must do so you can tick it off your bucket list.

Dear Joy R,

I am glad to hear that you made it a point to visit Raffles Singapore and have a taste of our iconic Singapore Sling, first concocted here in 1915. Like yourself, many world-travellers view coming to Raffles as a rite of passage when in Singapore.

At Raffles, we pride ourselves on exemplary standards of service and hospitality and hence I am glad that you were able to feel that through your interaction with our dedicated Raffles colleagues. We also make it a point to constantly review our prices locally and as alcohol is heavily taxed here, we feel that for such an unique experience in such a historic location, our prices are reasonable.

I will be sure to share your kind words with my fellow colleagues and we look forward to welcoming you back with us soon, perhaps for a stay this time.

Yours sincerely,

This hotel is a trip into a past world, and worth to try out if only for one night. It has a special atmosphere, that you cannot replicate anywhere else. Many tourists will roam the grounds but nevertheless its better to stay here to get the full experience.

I was welcomed back for a third time for High Tea at the Raffles Hotel. It was again a wonderful experience and well worth the money. Remember to book your tickets. You can organize this via email and pay when you arrive. The staff are wonderful and outstandingly professional. The food was magnificent. Don't forget to wear a roomy dress or stretchy pants AND you won't need dinner. The high tea is 3pm - 5.30pm. You must adhere to the dress regulations. Men to wear collared shirt, covered shoes and long pants. Women must be dressed well. If you don't you will not be admitted. The property is lovely, the service is fantastic and the food gorgeous. Thanks again for a fantastic third visit. I certainly will be back again!
