The hotel is new, receptions are very friendly and duty manager as well, all the staff are ok except in Restaurant they are ignorant. The rooms are large, connecting door quite heavy, the room is too cold although we adjust the temperature already. We enjoy our stay so much especially they provide us a mobile phone with free internet and calls. Next to the hotel you can find starbucks and food republic. But to walk to mall is quite far so you must take MRT which is closed to hotel. The breakfast is so so, not much choice and taste not ok, we paid quite expensive for the breakfast.

We stayed at 30 Bencoolen for one night on a stop over. They allowed us to check in very early without extra charges and were extremely hospitable, making extra allowances for our young son. They also provided us with a free phone for use within Singapore for making phone calls and using data, maps etc. The staff are extremely friendly and welcoming as well as being knowledgeable about the various areas of Singapore and where to visit!

I have to say, if you're trying to look this place up on on Google Streetview, don't worry.

Now about the hotel. Staff well done. From the word GO, the check in was fantastic. They saw I was tired and had kids with me and the team stepped up.
Quite bluntly, from all my stays in Singapore, I now have a new bench mark (outside a five star set up)

The room itself. Clean, neat and surprisingly for Singapore a good size. I didn't feeled hemmed in by unnecessary furniture.

Locationwise, I think this the best place for tourists, especially first time tourist to Singapore. The reason why it's simple. Food, sights and public transport.
The hotel's nearest train station is a literal stones throw away.
Ten minutes walk and you're at Bugis, a food for both vegetarians and non-vegetarians alike.
There's an Arts university on Bencoolen itself and there's a lot of different historical buildings nearby

If you're aiming to go to Orchard road, head to Bugis and a few stops and you're there.
There's a nice pool (adults) with a Jacuzzi. So it's not a bad setting for a romantic inner city getaway or if you're on your honeymoon.
