I chose this hotel mainly because it’s in Chinatown where there are lots of food stalls and bargain goods.
I wasn’t expecting too much from this hotel as their rate isn’t that expensive.
But lo and behold, i was surprised by the Class A service i got, the staff were very polite, friendly and accommodating, the rooms were nice, aircons were in good working condition.
Special mention to the lady from fookien doing the room clean up, very friendly and honest, i left my wristwatch on the table and some bills and coins, i wasn’t touched at all.
It was a great stay at a reasonable price.
Great location, great place to stay.
Simply class A in all aspects

Room on 1st floor, tucked away right at the back, so no outside noise at all, room fairly small, me and my luggage = room full!!! Nice enough hotel, bit tired in furnishing and decor, but clean. Friendly staff, room had a fridge and a safe. Shower, brilliant pressure and always hot. Right in the heart of Chinatown. WIll defo stay again.

We are a group of 5 friends, who stayed here for a weekend staycation. The rooms are clean and tidy, pretty small and just enough for minimal movement and bags (not big luggage). The receptionist made check in a breeze for us, and even when we came back to the hotel early next morning, there were people at front desk, which makes the hotel really safe in the wee hours.

In the morning, there was loud sounds coming from the roadside and temples. That is one downside. Nevertheless the great location (close proximity to Clarke Quay) made it an ideal location for a short staycation.

Beside that, I don’t have any other to say. Just standard inn, the authenticity is just on the vintage model and there are some old vintage stuff.
The room is quite small, feeling too full with just 2 cabin luggages. The noise on the front road is quite disturbing. There’s no bidet in the bathroom.
I got the room for price SGD 110, it’s quiet expensive.

The location is just around the Chinatown MRT, so for you who plan to scrolling around Chinatown, it’s recommended place to stay. But I prefer to try other hotel next time.

The location of this hotel is terrific. But that's all that's good about it. The room we had was miniscule; the beds were too short; the sink in the bathroom was lopsided and about to fall off the wall; the bathroom door couldn't be closed properly; the shower was minute and had limited hot water; there wasn;t enough room for two people to walk around at the same time; the TV was non functional; to use the toilet facilities you had to have one leg in the shower and the other leg somewhere else (uncomfortable). Run down - wallpaper falling off. Great location - but a total rip off. It is NOT a boutique hotel - it is a small, rip off centre for foreigners.

Room tip: choose another hotel. This one is NOT worth $175 a night.
