York Hotel is perfect for our medical trip to Mount Elizabeth Hospital which is less than a 10-min. walk from the hotel based on average walking speed. It has a clean room with a good size which can fit 3 single beds.

Our family of five had a pleasant stay at the York, from 26th December 2022 to 1st January 2023. In addition to its central location, we found the hotel staff to be courteous and helpful, often going out of their way to make our stay comfortable. The spotlessly clean rooms, although spacious and well-appointed, were looking somewhat dated and tired.
For those booking standard rooms, especially if they are to be occupied by seniors who may have limited agility, there are no shower cubicles in the bathrooms. Instead, they have bathtubs. The Deluxe room we upgraded to, at an extra charge, offered a shower cubicle in addition to the bathtub. The fitness center and swimming pool were adequate and breakfasts at the White Rose offered variety and a good start to each day!

While the location was the main reason I initially picked York Hotel, I quickly realized that the service is great, restaurants and room service was good, and I loved the style of the hotel.
Having a bathtub was something we always enjoy and a comfortable room, soft bedding and a crisp-clean feel made for a very enjoyable stay. They had nice chairs, very spacious rooms and near to a lot of amenities (Starbucks being one which is very important to me!)
Spent the evening watching the Orchard light up and feeling very glad I chose York Hotel

Very old hotel on Mt E, which is clear from how drab the room is. While it was a short walk to Paragon/Orchard Road, which made it a very convenient location, the room was not clean. There were small bugs in the bathroom, and someone's used double-eyelid tape was stuck on the bathroom wall. Came back one day and saw a towel placed haphazardly (not folded neatly) on the bedside- not sure if they used that to clean the bedside table, or if they just forgot to fold it and place it in the bathroom. Needed to ask for more towels as only 2 big towels were provided on check-in, and no hair towel or hand towel. Also asked for a pair of chopsticks from reception when I ordered deliveroo, and it took them 30min to bring the chopsticks up– reception was also very brusque when I requested this.

The room is not as clean as before pandemic. The room is smelly especially the chair and carpet. Many dusts in the room. They should improve the cleanliness. Location wise is okay. Service is also okay.

love this hotel from back then, have been stayed here couple times
love the location, surrounding, close to orchard, rate still reasonable, will be more attractive if breakfast included since there are many newer hotel out there,overall we are happy
