The botanical gardens in Singapore are beautiful. From walking through the rolling green areas to the Orchid gardens this really is a beautiful place to be.
The lunch spot is average to eat. The view is very nice and coffee is pleasant.
The beautiful lawns, blooming ginger, and ponds were a treat! The bonsai were beautifully maintained as well. We really enjoyed walking through this peaceful place. I highly recommend this garden for the flower lovers.
Freely able to wonder and enjoy the setting . I loved the settings for each of the gardens . The taxi calling system . Friendly staff .
The nice thing about Singapore Botanic Garden is its FREE!
It's surroundings are pretty pleasant to the eyes, and the atmosphere is refreshing in the morning. We were only able to reach 1/8 of the place because of its hugeness. I guess it will take you two hours walk (without stop) for your to reach the other end of the garden.
The only thing I don't like is the restaurant we ate at (named Food for Thought), we paid around SGD26 for 2 sets of breakfast meal and 2 Ice Cold Coffee. It would be fine if the breakfast were delicious, but my breakfast was below so-so and my Iced Mocha is extremely bland!
We loved this place and spent many hours here on one of the first days of our week in Singapore. The orchid gardens were magnificent and worth paying a small fee for. The gardens were so tranquil and magnificently green, a greenness so vibrant that we felt one with nature as we lay on the grass for a well earned rest. There were many families passing time together but the park is so extensive that it never felt overcrowded. We didn't see many places selling refreshments. Remember that wherever you go in Singapore you'll need a constant supply of drinking water to keep up in the humid heat. We seemed to walk quite a way to the entrance to the park and coupled with all the walking within it the visit was quite exerting. You probably feel it more because of the climate. Extra refreshments are a must if you're planning to stay for some time, particularly if you have young children with you. There were five of us and we always carried a few rucksacks with us with extra energy boosting snacks in and drinks of course. A beautiful place to visit though.
