My friends and I was super excited for this staycation at Lloyd's Inn, We book Big Sky Room and its beautiful but it was smaller than we expected.There is 2 problem that we encounter that made us feel really upset. 1st was the very start that when the staff show us to our room the door could not open so she say usually u have to tap and hold for a little longer than the door will open ok anyway after a few try still the same issue( i believe its out of battery) than after the staff took us to a mini pantry to let us put our stuff and rest 1st(which is good) while she get some help to get our room door open.After putting our stuff in the room we decided to go to the pool and the pool is nice but this is the 2nd issue we will disappointed on how dirty the water is in the pool not sure if they do any routine maintenance for the pool water.Initially we thought that it was just maybe because of the shade or something that the water color was a bit brown but when we dip in to the pool we can really see some small little black stuff in the water.Frankly speaking it has really bad pool hygiene.Anyway we decided to head back to our room and rest and the door to our room have problem again so no choice we have to get help from the staff and this time the 2nd lady also say the same thing must tap and hold but its still cant open so end up gotta bring a small little device to plug in to our door to open up the door anyway the lady was nice enough to ask if we are heading out for dinner soon and she will change the battery of the door for us.So we head out for dinner about 7pm and came back about 10pm the door having the same problem but this time we really stand there and hold for at least about 3-5mins before the door finally open.After we get back into the room the 1st staff that attended to us was nice enough to inform us that she will help us change the battery of the door and after she change the door can just open in less than 10 sec. It will be a better experience if the problem can be resolve on the spot.Overall the hotel is pretty and staff is friendly.

It was perhaps rainy season and the pool gets murkier faster.We will immediately bring this up to the team to clean it more often as it is not acceptable. I'm architect and I had great expectations about the place! My biggest surprise were the improvised and unnoticed repairs. They woke us up every morning with hammers and dwellings on our wall, it was unbearable to stay in the room.
In spite of that, the general manager could not extend the slightest courtesy or honest apology.
The biggest irony of it all was that the room they gave us wasn't the one we booked, when we arrived they told us we got an upgrade from our "Standard" to a "Premium Room" with a view (which by the way faced a neighborhood across the street that had first seats to our chambers, meaning we could not have our curtains open at any time without having a community of spectators)
The second day there was another unnoticed event, which was none other than a school/ college field trip, touring the accommodations and crowding all common areas.
PS: The breakfast included was incredibly poor and 7 minutes away from the hotel.

The room was an upgrade from the Standard Room which is on the first level, to the Reading Room, which is on the second level and is a more spacious room. The architecture field trip was a once-off tour at the hotel, we apologize if this disrupted your stay. We would definitely consider this feedback in future & not to disrupt any guest experience with tours. Nevertheless, it was a pleasure for us to host you and we look forward to welcoming you back anytime.
Room was compact but with space savvy design. Good enough for a short stay. Love the slightly open shower area (we booked the Reading room) and the view looking out to the open green.
Staffs were nice and the whole check in/ out process was very smooth. Room even comes with a smart phone for the guest to use during their stay.
One down side was the not so great sound insulation. We were taking an afternoon nap and could hear people's LOUD laughter (figured it was from the guests having fun near the pool area).
However, with the location and experience, it was still worth the money.

Have been wanting to try the rooms and finally manage to book a room. you have to book the room like min 4 to 5 months ahead. The hotel is small and hiding in the lane but the room is spacious. It was quiet accommodation but not that convenient to walk in.

Great design good service and reasonable price for location near CBD and Orchard road.... A must try for a good design lover and people who don't mind to stay at small hotel... And for the bonus, they gave you breakfast at Killiney Kopitiam
