Our stay was for 8 nights whilst visiting family.
Location is perfect a few steps from the spotless and amazingly easy to use MRT - a must to get around town cheaply and fast.
Had third floor Double deluxe room
Not a western chain but a charming quaint conversion of a temple...complete with museum ( which the staff are very proud to talk you through the history)
Exceptional customer service - nothing was to much trouble.
Exceptional cleanliness.
Exceptional extras were included. Free wifi, freehandy phone, free minibar, free breakfast, gallons of water provided before and after days out, free car with chauffeur picks up and drops off from Changi airport, advise and personal maps given for recommended trips....I could go on.....
Slight irritation - with a longer stay there was little storage (wardrobe) space to hang clothes.

Room Tip: Double deluxe third floor was good

I chose this hotel based on the reviews on trip advisor and I have no hesitation in saying that the kindness and superb service of this hotel is 100% genuine.

We were met on arrival by their driver having prearranged collection. We had a ride around downtown Singapore which was great to help us get our bearings. He gave us some tips on what to see, eat and photograph which was very useful!

We had a welcome party on arrival who gave us a tour, took our bags and provided a much needed drink. The room was spotless and the free extras a lovely touch. We were there for a special birthday and the towel birthday cake was a nice surprise! Not to mention the cakes they left us!

Whilst there for 9 days, we used the free Handy phone which was a godsend. We booked two attractions through the phone which was really easy and had no problems.

The minibar, free, was well stocked and we used the drinks and snacks everyday.

The breakfast wasn't amazing but not awful and fine for our needs. Some kaya toast would be a great edition! (A must try whilst Kn Singapore)

We had an issue with the bathroom light turning off but they repaired that the following day.

The lights on the steps in our room could not be turned off which I assume was for safety reasons but easily solved with a bin and a suitcase!

The best thing about the hotel is that it is right next to the metro station which made moving about Singapore very easy. You can't go wrong with the metro.

I would not hesitate in staying there again.

We stayed at AMOY twice lately on our way to and from New-Zealand. Everything was great (perfect location, excellent room, wonderful service, yummy breakfast at Dean & Deluca.... etc.), but the most important thing is the unique care and the personal treatment we received from people that really care about you, that understand your needs and serve you accordingly.
Free limousine to and from the airport, complementary drinks at the rooms, guidance about the city rtc. are all great, but the hotel manager Mr. Leo Douglas and his team surprised us with much more:
We formally checked out around noon time, but our flight was a late night flight, so they offered us a room to refresh ourselves (having a shower and resting) at the evening for that purpose FREE OF CHARGE !!!
One evening we came late after a long flight, so being tired we preferred to go to sleep rather than going out for dinner. After half an hour a knock on the door and amazing street food (chicken sate + souse) has been brought to our room. No, we didn't ask for it and they insisted and refused us to pay for it.
Very unusual. Needless to say that our loyalty to AMOY is granted.

I stayed here for business as it was convenient for me to walk to the office I had a meeting in. The hotel frontage is a museum and the construction was mainly wooden to preserve its heritage- therefore, you will hear the other hotel guests' footsteps. It is surrounded by F&B outlets, which are open mostly until early evening. It is a short walk to Chinatown and Clarke Quay. You can even walk all the way to Marina Bay Sands as the paths are very well laid out.

There was a last minute issue with power at the AMOY and I was given an upgrade to a suite at Rendezvous. So this is a review of staff not the hotel. I could speak too highly of the attention I got, including a staff member, Jasmine, coming out to the airport to collect me as I was mid flight from Australia when the power problem occurred. Jasmine went way and beyond, even accompanying me to the shopping mall to assist when my spectacles broke. 10 out of 10 for customer service and I will 100% book into AMOY when next in Singapore.
