The game master reallyyyy dampened the mood. She was unfriendly, uninterested, bored and she explained the game so quickly without any background or context, it seemed like she was sick of her job and just wanted to get rid of us. I brought a friend from overseas and we both felt unwelcomed. The interaction throughout the whole session was awkward and I really think Xscape can do much better than this. As for the game I tried Whisper of the dead, it was ok but I wouldn't recommend it.
Thrilling and it was so intense throughout the game. Pushing our mind and physique to the limit. It is a much try for all escape room lovers.
My friends and I played The Morgue last weekend and we loved it! We weren't joking when we said this is, by far, the best room escape in Singapore. We love how thoughtful and nice the set up is, and how the puzzles were tough but not difficult. We've been to almost every room in Xcape, except for maybe 3 that were in the "cartoon" theme. We can't wait to head back for the latest room - Shanghai 1943!
I love solving puzzles. I've tried both Annabelle and the secret of chamber games before, and it was absolutely fun and exciting! I like both games especially there's some tricky and good infrastructure design.
My two friends and I really enjoyed this room - Whisper of the Dead - even though we didn't escape and complete the game.
The game master did a simple briefing before starting which is good since we are all first timers and didn't know what to expect.
Highly recommend Xcape escape rooms!
I have been to three different companies offering escape rooms and Xscape is by far the best. First, the rooms were 75 mins long instead of the usual 60 mins. The reason for this extra time is that there are more props and rooms within each game than the other places I went to. We played Annabelle and The Morgue and both were excellent. They did a really good job creating the right creepy atmosphere. Also, they had a variety of different puzzle types compared to the "old" escape rooms that mostly involved solving clues to unlock number locks. We had to turn things, climb things, look under things, solve codes, you get the idea, I don't want to spoil it for you by being too specific. I can 100% recommend this place for great, very fun escape rooms, and I would suggest overlooking the fact that some of the staff might appear less than friendly. It's definitely something they can work on, but it doesn't mar the overall experience.
