Family of 7 tried the Morgue in August 2017. The scare effects were really good and the puzzles were interesting. The storyline seem to get a bit messy and lost midway but overall was still pretty good and interesting. You would need to look carefully for some puzzles or you would be tricked/misled.
There are some climbing to be done so make sure 2 people within the team is mobile. If you don't scare easily, then the puzzles could perhaps be solved by 4 - 5 experienced players.
Although the effects were good, the sensor is a bit weak in some parts.
Service was good too. :)
Great game! It was actually a bit difficult, but we did have only 2 players so it was at least expected. Loved the technology, and magical elements to the game (Upside Down)! The Harry Potter theme was very nostalgic and enjoyable. Would definitely visit Xcape again. I want to do Annabelle next time!
The game master reallyyyy dampened the mood. She was unfriendly, uninterested, bored and she explained the game so quickly without any background or context, it seemed like she was sick of her job and just wanted to get rid of us. I brought a friend from overseas and we both felt unwelcomed. The interaction throughout the whole session was awkward and I really think Xscape can do much better than this. As for the game I tried Whisper of the dead, it was ok but I wouldn't recommend it.
Thrilling and it was so intense throughout the game. Pushing our mind and physique to the limit. It is a much try for all escape room lovers.
My friends and I played The Morgue last weekend and we loved it! We weren't joking when we said this is, by far, the best room escape in Singapore. We love how thoughtful and nice the set up is, and how the puzzles were tough but not difficult. We've been to almost every room in Xcape, except for maybe 3 that were in the "cartoon" theme. We can't wait to head back for the latest room - Shanghai 1943!
I love solving puzzles. I've tried both Annabelle and the secret of chamber games before, and it was absolutely fun and exciting! I like both games especially there's some tricky and good infrastructure design.
