I stayed in the hotel for the F1 weekend. For the price I can't complain. It's within walking distance to the track, especially stamford and padan grandstands. A little farther at start stop line.. The room is small, but it's enough for a stay. The beds are on the stiff side, which for me is better for the back. The room had a couple of little ants roaming around. A quick wipe made them disappear, they were probably looking for food from the previous guest. The mini fridge and a/c worked great. The glass shower door didn't work so great, it's not a deal breaker. Breakfast is free and not too bad, if you like typical anglo fare. There's more restaurants outside the hotel if you want to experience more of the Singaporean eats. The hotel is really close to the Bugis rail terminal so you can get here from the airport.

We stayed for two nights. When we checked in, reception did the bare minimum of their job - they weren't very friendly, and they didn't even show us to our room. The elevator doors close very quickly, one person was barely in it when the doors tried to close on us. When we found our room, the floor in the room was so sticky (I'm guessing the cleaners used too much floor cleaner) and we had to wear the provided slippers or socks the entire time. The bed was awful - I could feel the coils/springs in it, it was excruciatingly firm and I woke up all night with pains in my hips and back from the discomfort. During the night, we were also woken by other people's doorbells ringing and voices in the hallway. The air conditioning vent is dusty, mouldy and gross. There were scuff marks on all on the walls, the tea and coffee was not adequately stocked, the towels were old and threadbare, and the soap/shampoo provided was watered down to the point it was unusable. The breakfast was exceedingly ordinary. The only good thing about this place is the location, the rest of the stay was pretty bad and I wish I'd spent a little more on something better. I would not stay again and I would discourage anyone from staying here.

Room Tip: Don't stay here, if you do get a window room

Hotel has Mouldy smell on entry. But is a lot worse in the bedroom. Bedroom with no window was damp including bed and floor.

Bed was two bases no mattress (or just felt like it). Stayed in room 407. Breakfast was not game to have anything but toast.

Wouldn't recommend just book into a better hotel earlier for the same deal money wise.

I can't say much about this hotel except for its great location. Liang Seah Street is just behind it where it becomes a car-free zone and food street...good eats there. Suntec City, Bugis, is a short walk away.

we wanted a budget hotel that will allow us to get a good night's rest, with a location convenient for moving around. when in Singapore, "convenient for moving around" means being very near a train station.

park View was exactly that. a 20 year old hotel 10 minutes walk from Suntec, 10 minutes from Raffles Place, and 5 minutes walk to the Bugis MRT station. around the corner was a short street full of restaurants and restobars. the room was clean. beddings were clean, the bathroom was clean. the breakfast was simple but adequate, and free wifi that worked. i will definitely consider going back to this hotel.

my only complaint (which was not under the control of the hotel) were the workers across the street who were moving steel plates used for construction from the building across the street to a waiting truck.

oh well.

Room Tip: ask for a room away from the main road (Beach Road).
