Quaint hotel with lovely modern refreshing lobby&friendly staff. In the red light district-but that means better price&heaps of places to go and party. Nice walk up&down joo chiat road with heaps shopping&dining options. Only $15 by taxi to airport-if driver takes u back way&not traditional way. Hotel very clean&comfortable beds with cleaning staff fitting in with ur availability, going as far as ringing half hour b4 finished for day to see if can clean each day which unusual but appreciated. Had problems with construction next door&vibrating through room so they upgraded our rooms till we felt comfortable. Had trouble with financial institution&accessing money, but they let us make local phonecalls to sort problems without chsrging us anything for the multiple calls. Lots of activity info for singapore in lobby as well drink machines. 24hour reception came in handy&they supply electricity converters free of charge which is handy.

Stayed for 3 nights in early August and thought the hotel was clean, tidy and the staff really helpful. A 10-15 minute walk to Paya Lebar MRT station and this is really good and cheap to use to get around all of Singapore's fantastic sites. About a 15 min ride on the MRT into the main tourist bits but we liked seeing how the real Singaporeans live(it is in the Muslim quarter) and it still felt really safe(as does all of Singapore). We stopped in a family room with a window and it was spacious and beds comfy. Would stay here again.

Room Tip: Probably not worth paying extra for a window as its generally too hot to open it,

Stayed one day on 17.08.2016 with family. Champion hotel although small is a clean and decent place to stay in Singapore. Check-in/out was fast with courteous, cheerful & friendly staff at the reception who were willing to help. Can be reached from Changi Airport by MRT (interchanged at one place) and a short taxi ride of SGD 5 approximately from the nearest station Paya Lebar. Breakfast served outside the hotel at the adjoining restaurant and had to select one option from three set menus.

Champion hotel is a small hotel with small rooms and bathrooms but clean. The doble bed is perhaps less than 140cm wide. The area is relatively far from the center and you have to walk between 15 and 20 mn to the next metro station (Paya Lebar). Reception staff is OK. It seems that is a relatively good compromise price/quality for Singapore where hotels are excessively expensive…
