The museum narrates the history of civil defence, but particularly the fire service in Singapore. There are numerous fire engines and appliances on display on the ground floor, and a more generic exhibition upstairs. The whole place is free admission, but there s a small gift shop that we purchased something from in order to contribute.
What is refreshing is that due acknowledgement is given to the contribution of British people who moulded the fire service over the years, rather than try to change history as we have sometimes found in other former colonies.
