We went there last year and had a lot of fun there. Able to swim there but i dont think water is clean enough. I can say that one of the best park in Singapore in my opinion. I am looking forward to go there in near future.
I lived here when a child and was so pleased I returned to see the changes. There is a fab Hawker Center to try local food within this mainly residential area. Off Thomson Road is Lower Peirce Reservoir which was not busy and a beautiful site. There are many walks you can take but remember your water as it is very hot. There are also signed to warn you against wild boar and monkeys but gladly we didn’t see any. Sembawang is easy to get to by bus which we used.
If you are looking for a place for kids to run around and or have picnic away from the crowd, this park wil be ideal. Unfortunately, it is quite far north and you will need to ensure you have good transportation there.
Took the kids here today for our first visit. Quite a long way to go to get here which may explain why there weren't so many people around. The beach is quite dirty and I don't think it's really suitable for swimming, but there are some shells. Plenty of interesting trees and a great little playground for the kids.
For just spending some time in a lovely seaside setting, this is a nice park. Very clean and well cared for. Loved the view over to Malaysia. If you have time, do have lunch at the park, the restaurant is special indeed.
Lovely area just to chill .. first time I've ever had a ice cream sandwich...as an old Royal Navy area lots to,for me reminiscing, even the old Nelson bar which unfortunately closed when I was there..
