I Went with two kids. There was two queen bed which is perfect for four person.
Also the whole facility was very clean and quiet. (Was city view but okay). The staff was very friendly too. Very Close to little India.
If I visit Singapore, will again visit!!

This hotel has everything you need for a stay of a few days, is well located next to Farrer Road Station and the staff were great at every interaction. We arrived well before the allowed check-in time of 3pm (which we thought was very late!) but this wasn't an issue and we were given an Urban Room which was ready. The King size bed rather dominates the room and there isn't a lot of room around it but enough for a couple for a few days. The room had an Illy coffee machine, good internet and tv, excellent shower, hair dryer etc as you would expect plus great views and nice touches like soft drinks and water, peanuts, crisps for free in the mini bar.
We used the pool which was great, and were also given vouchers for a 15 minute head massage in the spa. We didn't use the breakfast buffet as $30 seemed a lot when we are not big eaters that early but there were a shop selling croissants and pastries in the block and a couple of places to get a snack between the hotel and the station which is only two minutes (and easy to find despite the work going on!).
Overall thoroughly recommended and would use this place again without further thought.

Its in Little India; a short walk from Indian restaurants, 'spas' and KTVs. Due to renovation work the nearest MRT exit isnt in use so a few minutes extra walk. Its not easy to find. Look for a building with Connexion written on it. The entrance looks like its for a basement car park.
Service is good (but no help with baggage and last nights dinner plates were still in the corridors at 0700)) and everything seems to work OK. The room (I took an 'Urban')is tiny for a 5* hotel, nicely appointed (maybe a little too much veneer) and comfortable with a wall to wall window looking out onto the Singapore skyline. So, pretty cool. But if you and your partner want to sit and share a bottle one of you can use the office chair but the other only has an (impractical) cushion on the window sill or the bed. The room design is better for the solo business traveller. Lots of automation to play with which is fun but no instructions for the coffee machine which defeated me at 6AM. The gym has great kit but with 6 or 8 users there would be queues.
So, there is nothing really wrong with this hotel and if it was rated (and priced as) a 4* it would get a 5* review. But as 5* hotel I expected a little more.

Came during the CNY holidays and was surprised to see that the place is packed. I was hoping for a quiet weekend, which was relatively what i got, except for at night when other guests are doing their "CNY visits" in different rooms.

To start off, i reached the hotel at around 1:30 but was not able to be dropped off at the lobby because there was a lion dance on-going. So i got off the car, walked towards the lobby doors but couldn't immediately go in because of the lion dance and the hoards of guests blocking the door watching it. Mind you, the lobby itself is enclosed which made the drum sounds even louder than it should.

CHECK-IN/CHECK-OUT TIME: WARNING FOR STAYCATIONERS... Check-in only starts at 3PM. At least that's what the front-desk told me. This is the only hotel that I've been in that has the latest check-in time. I'm not sure what they need 3 hours between official check-out and check-in for, but one would expect at least a 22-hour stay specially at this price point.

While they do have sofas within the lobby, as it was CNY, it was too loud around the area. I went and asked if they had a lounge/bar where i can do some stuff on my laptop and was lead towards the restaurant. Waited until 3pm. Went back to the lobby a little after three and was told the room we were assigned to is no longer available and that we are being upgraded instead --- the only saving grace to this almost-a-disaster of a stay.

ROOM: The room, while big was at the end of the whole walk way, almost another building if i may say so. It's a good 10 minute walk from the elevator to our rooms. This worked to our advantage given that the rest of the hotel is busy with CNY celebrations. There were so many people walking around the halls and the parties were so loud, which persisted until a little before midnight. Our room was in this little enclave that somehow blocked off/minimized the sounds from the rest of the floor once you turn the corner. We were the only room at that side of the floor.

The room itself was amazing, with mid-floor to ceiling windows giving you a view of Singapore. Fully-automated curtains. There were two huge TV's and two bluetooth speakers -- one in the living area, and another in the bedroom. There was a powder/beauty room with water closet in the living area, while the bedroom has a regular bathroom with the water closet separated from the shower. No bathtubs - which was quite disappointing given that you're staying in a "Suite." I guess the configuration of the room, will not allow it.

As we were in the Skyline Suite, everything in the minibar was free. Not sure if this is the same case as the other rooms.

LOCATION: Located in the heart of Farrer Park, it is a few meters away from City Square Mall and connected via underground walk way to the Farrer Park MRT. If you're a traveller, i'd say this would be one of the good spots. Farrer Park is near downtown but is not downtown. On normal days, i would think it would be relatively quiet around this area and can be easily accessible via train.

FACILITIES: A+ for the pool and the spa facilities. As it is a spa hotel, guests are allowed to access the spa facilities, i.e. jacuzzi, hot mineral pool, cold pool and the relaxation room FOR FREE. You have to pay for the spa session/massage though. Make sure you visit the spa facilities when you stay here because it is amazing and will definitely make you feel relaxed.

However, i do not know why they do not tell you this when you check-in. We only learned about this because my friend wanted to get a massage. By the way, the whole hotels smells like a spa specially the floor where the spa, pool, and ballrooms are.

DINING: I've been in this hotel for a few events and meetings and the food is ok. Nothing out of the ordinary. While I feel like it is a little too expensive for what it is, if you have a bit of a money to spare and a little too lazy to go out, I'd say still give it a go.However, as it is within the Farrer Park area, i'd say venture out and try the food around the area. I'm sure you'll find better food with cost-effective prices outside.

SERVICE: Average. After swimming, we came back to a room that smelled like cigarette smoke. None of us smokes and the floor was supposed to be a non-smoking floor. I immediately called housekeeping and told them of our complaint. I had to call a few times and was only sent somebody almost an hour after the first call. To be fair, the people that came were quite apologetic but was armed with only an air freshener spray. We had to call a few times during our stay because each time we return to our room, the cigarette smoke became stronger. At night, housekeeping brought in a huge machine, which turned out to be an ionizer. Good thing that our room had a separate bedroom, we left the ionizer in the living area overnight.

OVERALL: while the spa and pool facilities are great, I would not recommend this place for a staycation due to the very late check-in time. Stay away during peak season. However, if you're a traveller and will be spending a few days in this hotel, I'd say go give it a try.

Dear WanderlustHaywire

Thank you for reviewing our hotel and we do apologies for the inconvenience caused. As part of the festive celebration, on a yearly basis, the hotel engaged Lion Dance to usher in the new year and this is also to create the festive ambience during the Chinese New Year period.

We noted on your comment pertaining to the check-in time, and usually the hotel will try assign the rooms if they are available before 3pm, however, due to the festive period the hotel was running high occupancy for the last days prior to the festive celebration. In general, check-in time is 3pm for most hotel. Seek your kind understanding on this matter.

Glad that at least the spa and pool has been great and nonetheless, we look forward to welcoming you back in the near future.

Yours sincerely,
The Management Team

Just checked in today. It's our anniversary with 11 months old baby. The room is too small to have a baby cot. Requested the room upgrade after checked the room availability in Booking.com. But the front desk staff rejected by using no room available reason. Then found the issue about the sink. My husband fixed by himself. And now it's 10:20pm, I can hear the people is talking in the next door....... not satisfy for this hotel, especially for our anniversary.
