Singapore seems proud of this engineering feat, and rightly so - there is a pre-'flight' visitor centre which details some of the vital statistics, and they are impressive. It also shows that theirs is bigger than ours, indeed bigger than anyone's - it beats London by 5m. The views are not as spectacular as those from London's south bank, but for the visitor, they are pretty good at helping to get oriented. The wheel is also sited on/above where the Singapore grand prix takes place, if that's of interest to F1 fans. There is a fake hawker centre at ground level for an inexpensive lunch; quality not great, but it is cheap, as is the beer for once.
